Riverside Park is the third track in the Mushroom Cup from Mario Kart: Super Circuit. After over twenty years, this track makes a retro appearance in Mario Kart Tour as of the Animal Tour, and in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe as part of Wave 4 of the Booster Course Pass, as the second track in the Fruit Cup. This track is considered the prequel to the more advanced Lakeside Park, of which is more chaotic and violent.
As its name states, Riverside Park takes place at a park in the jungle in between a bridge with bridges and jumps. In it's retro appearances, there is also a cave section that ends with a waterfall.
Layout[]
Mario Kart: Super Circuit[]
This course takes place in the middle of a jungle-like landscape, which is supported by the fact that you can hear animal noises in it's music. The track features very sharp turns and is surrounded by water, hence the name. You start out on a bridge with no railings, of which takes you onto the dirt road shortly after the start. Once on the dirt road, you take about a 45 degree left turn down a straight toward a really sharp right U-turn, where the first set of Item Boxes is located just before. After that, you then go down another straight towards the river, before taking a 90 degree left, avoiding the river. Afterwards, you take a slight left before taking a sharp right into a Dash Panel ramp that launches you over the river. Once you land, another Dash Panel, though optional, can be seen to the left of the player; all before heading into the second set of Item Boxes. After grabbing some items, you are then lead through a 135 degree right turn into a slight left turn. You then go down a small straight into an extremely sharp U-turn to the left, which takes you down another straight, that will then send you into another slight left. Once after the slight left, you take an immediate right U-turn, that will lead you down a straight toward the third set of items, before taking a 90 degree right into a long straightaway. After traveling down the straight, you take a slight left into another bridge, that leads you into a giant 270 degree loop to the left, of which ends in a Dash Panel propelling you over the track you drove just moments beforehand. After all that, you then land back on the dirt road, which takes you onto the bridge you started on, thus ending the lap.

After 21 years, this course finally makes its first reappearance in Mario Kart Tour, starting with the Animal Tour. The track received a huge overhaul in aesthetics, graphics, and features. The course has also has received some layout and elevation changes, and all of the shortcuts have been removed in favor of more prominent grass cuts. First of all, a starting banner has been added, which is held up by two rock formations that are covered in vines. The starting line also has been moved onto the middle of the bridge, as opposed to before where it was on the end. Moving forward, the first giant U-bend has been simplified into a 90 degree right turn, which takes you through some windy landscape into a sharp right turn where a bridge has been added just before the first jump over the river. Most of the track plays out the same, apart from a large mud patch being added to the turn before you enter the loop. Speaking of the loop, now once you get onto the bridge that takes you into it, you are now instead lead inside a huge mountain. A cave can be found inside, where you go through the loop that now ascends up inside the mountain, where another bridge has been added just before the end of the loop. This all leads to you jumping straight through a waterfall, that sends you onto the bridge before the Finish Line.

Riverside Park makes it's third and latest appearance as part of Wave 4 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC, as the second race of the Fruit Cup. The course is very much based on it's Mario Kart Tour appearance, albeit with largely improved textures and visuals. This can also be proved by the fact that it uses a much more realistic skybox, along with the more realistic water that now flows in one direction unlike Tour. The color of the letters that make up the Mario Kart logo on the starting banner are now white instead of being multi-colored like its Tour appearance. The bridge you start on now has noticeable mold growing on it. Like most other courses, spectators have been added to various parts of the course. The Dash Panel present on the bridge before the first jump has been replaced by a simple ramp. Road Cones have been added next to the mud patch added in Tour. It is also now slippery inside the newly added cave, along with the trick ramp leading out the cave being changed to a different style. Ptooies have also been added as obstacles to the course; hitting one will make you spin out, although if you have an item like a Green Shell, you could throw it at the Ptooie to make it drop either a Mushroom or Banana. Ptooies operate on a global cycle, with them starting by coming out the river near the first bridge, and ending once they fall down the waterfall near the Finish Line.
