WarioWare

A-maze-ing is a recurring microgame in the WarioWare series. It first appears in WarioWare: Smooth Moves as one of Kat and Ana's microgames and returns in WarioWare Gold as one of Ashley and Red's microgames.

Gameplay[]

The object is to tilt the maze to navigate a ball out it. In WarioWare: Smooth Moves, this is accomplished by twisting the Wii Remote, and in WarioWare Gold, this is done by tilting the system. If done successfully, the player wins the microgame, indicated by the background changing to red. If the player does not accomplish this on time, they lose at the microgame.

In WarioWare Gold, the ball is replaced with an egg that hatches into something after it drops. The maze is fixed to the screen, with the background remaining upright as the system rotates.

Difficulty levels[]

In WarioWare: Smooth Moves, the player must drop the ball into one, two, and three holes for the first, second, and third difficulty levels, respectively.

In WarioWare Gold, the changes between difficulty levels are different:

  • Level 1: An egg has to be dropped into one hole. If successful, the egg hatches into a chick.
  • Level 2: A green-spotted egg has to be dropped into two holes. If successful, the egg hatches into a dragon.
  • Level 3: A pink-striped egg has to be dropped into three holes. If successful, the egg hatches into a treasure chest.

Game data[]

  • Info: Work the ball out of the maze.

  • Info: It's a round maze. Get the ball out of it.

  • Trivia[]

    • The microgame's name is a portmanteau of "maze" and "amazing."
