Yumeko Jabami is the main protagonist of Kakegurui: Compulsive Gambler. She is a transfer student at Hyakkaou Private Academy and classmate of Ryota Suzui and Mary Saotome who's family is aligned with that of the student council president, Kirari Momobami.

She is voiced by Saori Hayami. In the Bang Zoom! Dub, she is voiced by Erika Harlacher, in the Sentai Dub, she is voiced by Estelle Link.

What Makes Her Magnificant?[]

• She befriended the meek Ryota Suzui following her first gambling match which also saw her defeating Mary Saotome after she had taunted and ridiculed Ryota for his status as a house pet.
• Allowing herself to be saddled with the title and status of a house pet in order to take advantage of her now having an obligation to engage in mandatory public matches in order to be able to gamble against anyone, including Kirari herself.
• Gleefully accepting the opportunity to challenge anyone she can to gambling matches while simply relying on her luck to win said matches and never cheating because of it instantly destroying the thrill she gets out of said games if she ever attempted to do so.
• Secretly recording the seemingly sweet (but secretly snobbish and vulgar) idol singer Yumemi Yumemite screaming about how much she despises her own fans in spite of how they’ve all been nothing but loyal towards her. Albeit all for the sake of being able to challenge her to a gambling match rather than to expose her for her true nature.
• In spite of the joy, she derives from the chaos caused by her gambling matches against others (and the fact that said games help her rise to greater ranks among the school and its students), she still looks out for her friends, Mary and Ryota, and protects them in times of need.

What Makes Her A Baddie?[]

• The thrill she gets from gambling causes her to become chaotic and borderline villainous.
  • Not to mention that the actions she takes to engage in gambling matches for the sake of said thrill are often rather morally questionable.

• She's one of the 3 Kakegurui characters to be Magnificent Baddies, the other two being Mary Saotome and Kirari Momobami.
