Trivia[]

  • Mecha's design appears to be based on Metal General.
  • Mecha is one of the first Copy Abilities to be introduced in a remake, alongside Sand.
    • New Copy Abilities were considered for Kirby Super Star Ultra, but ultimately the Copy Abilities were kept the same to maintain the game balance by allowing abilities to be usable in various game modes.[1]
  • This is one of the few abilities which Kirby actually attacks with his hat. The others are Jet, Cutter, Wing, Needle, Laser, Animal, Magic, Water, Bell, Beetle, Poison, and Drill.
  • Mecha is similar to Laser as both abilities have Kirby wear high-tech weaponry (battle suit for Mecha and laser goggle for Laser) and fire beams of energy.
  • It is possible to charge and fire another Full-Charge Blaster with one already in storage, starting by performing a Sizz-Zap Burst. While doing this move, B/Y/Down Button/Left Button must be held until Kirby starts charging the Blaster. This can make Kirby fire a Full-Charge Blaster shot without affecting the one already stored.
    • Storing the extra charge will overwrite the original charge.
