This article is about a Rider in Kamen Rider Decade. |
- For the original, see Asumu Adachi.
Asumu (アスム ) is Hibiki's child apprentice, wanting to become a full-fledged Oni just like his master Hibiki in the Ongekido Taiko style, which is Hibiki's branch. He became the next Kamen Rider Hibiki (仮面ライダー響鬼, Kamen Raidā Hibiki, "Masked Rider Hibiki") after his master turned into Gyuki.
History[]
Kamen Rider Decade[]
World of Hibiki[]
Asumu is the only student of the Ongekido Taiko Drum Style. Before inheriting Hibiki's powers, Asumu was able to assume a form called Transformed Asumu (アスム変身体, Asumu Henshintai). As a result of his master losing the ability to control his Oni powers and fight the Makamou within himself, Asumu later inherits the power to become Kamen Rider Hibiki, and uses his new abilities to work together with Akira (Kamen Rider Amaki) and Todoroki (Kamen Rider Todoroki) to ally their schools. World of the Rider War[]
Asumu later appears in the World of the Rider War after his reality is absorbed into it, being the only survivor of the attack of the Fangires led by Kamen Rider Saga thanks to Daiki. After defeating Super Apollogeist, the convergence of worlds is not stopped and both the World of Hibiki and Asumu disappear. [Rider War: Prologue] [Destroyer of Worlds]
MOVIE War 2010[]
Following Tsukasa's death, Asumu, is revived and reunited with his friends, sharing the same fortunate fate as the other worlds' Riders. He later helps revive Decade and then appears along with Wataru to aid Decade in the final battle against Super Shocker to repay Decade for saving his world, turning into Kamen Rider Armed Hibiki thanks to Decade's K-Touch.
Later appearances[]
MOVIE War 2010 currently remains the last appearance of Asumu. The Hibiki that appears in OOO, Den-O, All Riders: Let's Go Kamen Riders, Kamen Rider × Super Sentai: Super Hero Taisen and most of further crossovers is the original Kamen Rider Hibiki, also known as simply Hibiki.
Forms[]
Just like the other Kamen Rider Hibiki, this alternate incarnation simply needs to tap his Onkaku against a solid surface, the vibrations from the fork causing his body to be engulfed in a fiery flaming purple aura and assume his Oni form. Using his Ongekiko Kaentsuzumi buckle in conjunction with his Ongekibou Rekka drumsticks, Hibiki can execute his Ongekida attacks.
Before inheriting Hibiki's powers Asumu was able to assume a form similar to the original Kamen Rider Hibiki TV show's character, Transformed Kyosuke, called Transformed Asumu (アスム変身体, Asumu Henshintai)[1], only shorter, muscular, silver and has no "mask".
This form is exclusive to Kamen Rider Decade Episode 18: Idling Hibiki.

Kamen Rider Hibiki (仮面ライダー響鬼, Kamen Raidā Hibiki, "Masked Rider Hibiki") is a purple Oni. This is his basic form and the easiest form for Asumu to reach.
In order to transform, Asumu simply needs to tap the Henshin Onsa against a solid surface, the vibrations from the fork causing his body to be engulfed in a fiery flaming purple aura. As Hibiki, he also gains a secondary "Oni face" which is a crest that forms on his forehead.
Unlike most Riders, Hibiki does not wear a suit, rather his Oni form is his true form.

The final form Hibiki was able to reach is known as Kamen Rider Armed Hibiki (仮面ライダー装甲響鬼, Kamen Raidā Āmudo Hibiki, "Masked Rider Armed Hibiki"). To reach this form normally, Hibiki must use the Ongekizofukuken Armed Saber, which also serves as a weapon in this form. However, Asumu was given the power of Armed Hibiki along with the Armed Saber's, due to Kamen Rider Decade's use of his K-Touch.
Upon transforming, Hibiki automatically assumes Kurenai Form. Calling upon the power of the Disc Animals to fuse with him, each become armor parts for his form. Finally, his secondary Oni face is covered with a samurai helmet (甲, Kinoe, "Armor", "High Voice"), and his horns expand. In this form, Hibiki is now able to destroy most lower level Makamou with little to no effort.
Asumu was shown able, in this form, to execute a fiery Rider Punch.

Notes[]
- Asumu is based from Hibiki character Asumu Adachi, and with Hibiki, is part of the characters from the World of Hibiki to not be reprised by their original counterparts' actors, Rakuto Tochihara for Asumu, and Shigeki Hosokawa for Hibiki.
- Asumu is with Wataru, part of the only A.R. World Riders whose civilian identity are children. This might be in reference to their Hyper Battle Videos, where children are implied to become Riders (Kamen Rider Hibiki Hyper Battle DVD: Asumu, Transform! You can be an Oni, too!! and Kamen Rider Kiva Adventure Battle DVD: You Can Also be Kiva).
- Also, both Asumu and Wataru grow to the size of adults when transformed, however their voice remain the same as their civilian one.
- Transformed Asumu's form appears physically similar to Transformed Kyosuke, albeit only lacking a proper Oni mask.
- He wears a deep violet kimono with crimson accents, the design of which is similar to the outfit of his namesake from the Sengoku Period in Kamen Rider Hibiki and The 7 Senki: The Movie, but with the color scheme of the robes of the Hibiki of that era.
- In his later appearance, Asumu yelled Henshin when changing into Hibiki, a practice never before used by any Rider related to Hibiki.
