Sixteen!

Hello Everyone!  It's Birthday week in the Jones House with 4 close family birthdays in 5 days!  As you can imagine, there's a lot going on right now!  The first cab off the rank is my son Zac, who turned 16 this week!  16!  I can't believe he's getting so big (in fact he's 6 feet 1 inch now!) and now looking to get his learner driver permit!  EEEEEP!!!!  Of course that means that I was faced with the dreaded MAN CARD so I decided to make the 16 the feature of the card along with some fun sneaker and star paper.

I've used a base of Marina Mist, layered with River Rock and topped with Maja Designs Denim and Friends paper.  I've added another strip of Marina Mist across it and then created another panel of Chocolate Chip, Marina Mist and more Maja Designs paper.  Under this I've tucked a couple of notched tags in So Saffron and River Rock.  I've cut the star of So Saffron using a large star die and made the 16 out of River Rock using Large Number Dies - airbrushing a little Copic E84 while in the die for some shading.  I've cut the name using an old Spellbinders alphabet that would fit the space.

Stamps - NONE!
Ink - NONE
Paper - Maja Designs Denim and Friends, Marina Mist, River Rock, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip
Accessories - ODBD Large Number Dies, Spellbinders Star, Upper Case Font Alphabet

That's all from me today, thanks for popping by and hope you are inspired to stamp.....or die cut!  :)

Another Peek and a Birthday!

Hello!!!  Today is Day 3 of my Guest Blog Week at JustRite and today it's a Coffee Hamper including these cute coasters and a recipe!!!  I hope you pop on over to the JustRite Blog and have a look!!!  I do have to confess that I don't actually drink coffee - nope not at all!!!  For some reason that tends to shock people, but then my husband drinks enough for both of us!!!  :)

Now speaking of my hubby - today is his 40th Birthday!!!!  Happy Birthday Matthew!!!!!  Mwah!!!  Of course I had to make him a card - so today's card is a Masculine 40th Birthday Card!!!

I started with a base of Very Vanilla and layered with some dark green bazzill (pretending to be Always Artichoke that I have realised I'm out of) and then Soft Sky and some retired SU Le Jardin DSP.  The middle panel is more dark green that I punched around the edges using the Fiskars Upper Crest Border Punch and layered with more Very Vanilla and more Le Jardin DSP.  I then made a frame out of some Very Vanilla by using two sizes of the Label 3 dies to cut and emboss.  Finally I stamped the numbers in Always Artichoke using SU's retired Headline Numbers, cut them out and popped them up on foam tape.

I'm happy to say that he liked his card!!!  (Mum and Scoob, he liked yours too!!  :)  )

Stamps - Headline Numbers
Paper - Very Vanilla, Dark Green Bazzill, Soft Sky, Le Jardin DSP
Ink - Always Artichoke
Accessories - Fiskars Upper Crest Border Punch, Label 3 Nestabilities, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!!  :)

Featured Stamper - Miss Boo!!!

Today's card is in honour of Jen aka Miss Boo who is the Featured Stamper of the week!!!  Congrats Jen!!!  For those of you who don't know, Jen is the Queen of CAS and is the Hostess of the CAS challenge at SCS.  I tried to be CAS, really I did, but I just couldn't help myself!!!

I chose Jen's Glittered Pumpkin Bouquet to case.  I changed the image and colours, added embossing, popped the image and added a sentiment panel.

I started with a base of pink bazzill and layered with white and more pink bazzill embossed with Swiss Dots.  On top of that is white cut with the Label 8 Nestabilities.  The Gerbera Daisies were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, coloured with markers and a blender pen, cut out and popped up.  I finished off by adding a ribbon tag with the sentiment.

Stamps - Gerbera Daisies (Flourishes), Warmest Regards (SU)
Paper - Pink Bazzill, White
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Label 8 Nestabilities, Ribbon Tags Trio, Scissors (for all that cutting), Pink Satin Ribbon, Swiss Dots EF, Markers, Blender Pen, Pop dots

That's all for now, thanks for visiting!!!  :)

Male 21st Birthday

I had an order for a Masculine 21st Birthday card - and only 24hrs notice.  To be honest, Man Cards are not my thing - I like my pretties too much!  With no other details, I played it safe and went with Chocolate and Vanilla.  I started with this week's Mojo Monday Sketch, which I think I deviated a bit too much so I don't know if I should enter it or not.  Maybe I'll try again!!  :)

I started with a base of Very Vanilla and layered with Chocolate Chip (pierced around the border) and then two pieces of Kaisercraft's Cafe Culture DP.  The main panel is VV cut with the Label 9 Nestabilites and layered with Chocolate chip (Small Circle Nestabilities) and VV (Large Circle Nestabilities and embossed with Swiss Dots EF).  The numbers are from SU's retired Headline Numbers set - a very handy large size - that I stamped in Chocolate Chip.  Originally the Happy Birthday sentiment was stamped in Chocolate Chip on VV and cut with the Petite Oval Nestabilities and sponged with Close to Cocoa.  To finish I added some Topaz Oregon Raindrops (thanks to Michelle for those!) to the right corners.

Stamps - Headline Numbers, Birthday Whimsy (SU)
Paper - Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Kaisercraft Cafe Culture DSP
Ink - Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa
Accessories - Label 9, Small Circle and Large Circle, Petite Oval Nestabilities, Swiss Dots EF, Topaz Oregon Raindrops, Pop Dots.

Well, that's all for now, thanks for visiting!!!

MTSC45 Birthday Girl

Finally I've managed to play this week's Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge! This is the last week that my rockin' friend Silke is hosting and hasn't she done a FAB job!!! :) This card was made really quickly and is a bit more CAS for me but I think it turned out OK. This card also qualifies for this week's Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge to use Border Punches or Borderabilities of which I am the Hostess!! I am looking at all the cards made and there is still time to play!! :)

I started with a Riding Hood Red base and layered with white (edges pierced) and more RHR that has been embossed with the Argyle EF. The main panel is a piece of white with one edge punched with the Fiskars Eyelet Lace Embossing Punch. Next is some Bella Rose DSP with some white grosgrain ribbon topped with red gingham ribbon attached in the middle. Next I stamped the centre and border from JustRite's Birthday Wishes Set in both Real Red and then Versamark embossed with gold detail EP. I cut out the middle gold panel and attached it to the red border and then matted both with a gold scallop circle and popped the whole panel up on foam tape. To finish I added some Clear Kaisercraft Rhinestones because it seemed to be begging for a bit of bling!! :)

Stamps - Birthday Wishes Set (JustRite)
Paper - Riding Hood Red, White, Gold, Bella Rose DSP
Ink - Real Red, Versamark
Accessories - Gold Detail EP, Fiskars Eyelet Lace Embossing Punch, Large Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities, White Grosgrain Ribbon, Red Gingham Ribbon, Argyle EF, Foam Tape.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!! :)

Paper Piecing Present

I know it's been several days since my last upload, I've just been busy. In the last few days I've gone on an excursion with the Kindergarten and then my 7yr old sprained a finger! I am making a lot of things that will be shown over the next couple of weeks though! :)

Today's card is a fun one for a birthday. I started with a base of Very Vanilla and layered with green bazzill, pink bling bazzill and some fun Abbey Road DP by My Mind's Eye. The green was punched with the Fiskars Lazy Days of Summer punch (one of my favs!). The present and tag are from the Flourishes All Wrapped Up set and stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Very Vanilla. I stamped it again on some Abbey Road DP and paper pieced it to make a fun dotty box. I popped it up on top of some Very Vanilla embossed with the Swiss Dots EF and more green bazzill (cut with Sm and Lg Circle Nestabilities) and layered on some pink bling bazzill cut with the Label 9 Nestabilities. Around the circle I pierced it with a paper piercer and Mat Pack. I finished by adding some tiny Kaisercraft Rose Pearls to the present and larger ones in the top and bottom corners.

Stamps - All Wrapped Up (Flourishes)
Paper - Very Vanilla, Green and Pink Bling Bazzill, MME Abbey Road DP
Ink - Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories - Small and Large Circle Nestabilities, Label 9 Nestabilities, Lazy Days of Summer Fiskars Border Punch, Paper Piercer, Mat Pack, Scissors, Swiss Dots EF, Kasiercraft Rose Pearls, Foam Tape.

Quick Blue Birthday

I am soooooo tired!!! It has been CRAZY this week with the kids - every single day I've been running all over the place with them going to one thing or another. Today after school I lay down on the floor with them while they watched cartoons (my littlest was sleeping in her cot) and I actually feel asleep!!! This is unheard of unless I'm sick! I have so many cards to make and complete but I can barely keep my eyes open, so I'm posting a card I actually made a couple of weeks ago.

I started with a base of blue bazzill and layered with green bazzill and some Lily Kate DSP. Around this I tied some green satin ribbon and stamped the sentiment from SU's Elegant Cheer set in black. The image is from Our Daily Bread Designs 'Happy Birthday' set, stamped in black stazon and coloured with markers and a blender pen and cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and matted on a piece of blue cut with the Large Octagon Nestabilities. Finished off by adding some Kaisercraft Denim pearls to the top corner. A nice quick, easy card!! :)

Stamps - Happy Birthday (ODBD), Elegant Cheer (SU)
Paper - Blue, Green, White Bazzill, Lily Kate DSP
Ink - Jet Black Stazon
Accessories - Markers, Blender Pen, Large Circle Nestabilities, Large Octagon Nestabilities, Kaisercraft Denim Pearls, Green Satin Ribbon, Bow Easy.

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!! :)

Fan Fold Asian

If you stopped by the JustRite Font Hop last week, you would have seen that I made a 50th Birthday card for Kay. Well, I also had someone else ask for a card for the same lady and this is what I came up with. I decided to use the Fan Fold Flower Technique to also give this card an Asian feel. I am still away as you are reading this, but should be back in a couple of days! :)

I started with a base of red bazzill and layered with white and some Ginger Blossom DSP. The sentiment panel is more red, layered with white and stamped the personal greeting in Jet Black Stazon using the Times New Roman Font by JustRite. I also stamped the flower images from Artfully Asian in River Rock and coloured lightly with markers and a blender pen. I followed the tutorial to make the flower, using paper from Ginger Blossom and stamping the '50' using the same Times New Roman Font and the border from Tiny Words Set. I finished off with some black satin ribbon and some black pearls.

Stamps - Times New Roman Font (JustRite), Tiny Words Set (JustRite), Artfully Asian (SU)

Paper - Red, White, Ginger Blossom DSP

Ink - Jet Black Stazon

Accessories - Markers, blender pen, scallop punch, scallop circle nestabilities, black satin ribbon, Kaisercraft black pearls.

That's all for today, thank for visiting!!! :)

Personalising was the huge draw for me when I first discovered JustRite and I love creating personalised cards and gifts!! I've also used this week's Card Patterns Sketch Challenge - what a fabulous design!!!

I started with a base of red bazzill, layered with gold and black and some Kaisercraft Sakura DSP. The vertical strip is gold layered with white embossed with Floral Screen EF and then black die cuts made using the 'Vintage' cuttlebug die set. The flowers are from Eastern Blooms and stamped in Real Red and popped on foam tape. Down the other side I've added a 1 inch golden satin ribbon and layered with a 1/2 inch black satin ribbon. Popped on top of that are two white Label 5 die cuts that have been embossed. I've added my personalised sentiment in Jet Black Stazon using JustRite Stampers Upper and Lower Case Times New Roman Font and then stamped the flower image across the side in Real Red.

Hello everyone!!! Today's card was made for the Featured Stamper Challenge at SCS! This week the honour goes to none other than the very talented Shannan!!! I chose her Easter Blessings card to case and changed the image, colours, added paper, punched edges, a sentiment panel and moved the embossing!

The oval panel has been stamped in Always Artichoke using JustRite Stampers new Autumn Blessings set and coloured with markers and cut out using Large Oval Nestabilities and popped up on foam tape. I finished off by stamping the sentiment in black and cutting into a notched tag and lightly sponging the edges with Old Olive.

FS135 - Birthday Blessings

Today is Father's Day and my DH took our boys out while I stayed home with our sleeping toddler girl - so I thought I'd have a look at the FS challenge. This week the honour goes to Lori McAree!!! Congrats Lori and enjoy your week!!! As soon as I saw THIS CARD I knew exactly what I wanted to do and it all came together pretty much as I imagined - don't you LOVE it when that happens??!! :) I've just realised this qualifies for this week's Flutterby Wednesday challenge to make a Birthday card with a butterfly or fairy!!! :) I was also REALLY happy to make something other than a Man Card!! :)

I started with a base of white and layered with some deep pink bazzil and some Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper. The main panel is from Our Daily Bread Designs' Happy Birthday set, stamped in Jet Black Stazon and coloured with markers and a blender pen. It was then cut out with Large Circle Nestabilities and mounted on a piece of white cut with the new Lattice Pendant by Spellbinders. The sentiment is from the same set, stamped in Stazon and cut with the Ribbon Tags Trio die set. The butterfly is from the same set, coloured with markers, cut and popped up on the sentiment panel. Then I put some white satin half inch ribbon through the die cut and attached it on top of some 1 inch deep pink satin ribbon at the bottom of the card. And, because I couldn't help myself, I finished by adding some Snow Kaisercraft pearls to the top corners!! :)

AVS204 Birthday Cupcake...

It's another Verve Sketch Challenge card! This one is for the forth sketch and I've also combined Jackie's challenge to use sewing on a card and Amber's challenge to make a birthday card. I had trouble trying to get a good photo of this one so excuse the picture!

I started with a base of green bazzill, layered with white and Basic Grey Porcelain DSP which I then sewed around the edge. The next layer is pink bazzill that has been cut using my brand new Labels 8 Nestabilities and then embossed with 'Script' EF. The sentiment is from SU's Birthday Whimsy - because I don't have any Verve birthday sentiments - stamped in Old Olive. The cupcake is from Verve's Cupcake Affair and has been stamped in Jet Black Stazon and coloured with Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose and Creamy Caramel and cut it out with the Small Circle Nestabilities then I pierced around the circle. It was then matted with pink cut out with the Large Circle Nestabilities and then the Porcelain DSP layer was cut out with the Blossom Nestabilities. The icing (frosting) has then been covered in Opal Shimmerz to give it a sparkly look and I've added Kaisercraft Snow pearls to each of the flower centres. The whole panel was popped up on foam tape. Finally I finished by adding some white satin ribbon across the bottom and made the bow with my Bow Easy!

Stamps - Cupcake Affair (Verve), Birthday Whimsay (SU ret.)

Paper - Green bazzill, white, pink bazzill, Basic Grey Porcelain DSP

Ink - Jet Black Stazon, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, Regal Rose, Creamy Caramel

Accessories - Small and Large Classic Circle Nestabilities, Blossom Nestabilities, Labels 8 Nestabilities, Script EF, Kaisercraft Snow pearls, Opal Shimmerz, White Satin Ribbon, Foam tape, Sewing Machine.

Featured Stamper - Sumtoy!!

This week's Featured Stamper is Sumtoy who has a huge gallery to chose from! I was inspired by her Morning Butterfly card and changed the colours, added a sentiment, moved the ribbon, modified the layout and added some pearls! I kept the over all feel of the card with the layout, ribbon, punched edge and butterfly image.
I started with a base of Kiwi Kiss, layered with Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip and some Bella Rose DSP. The main panel is Chocolate Chip layered with Riding Hood Red that has been punched with the EK success punch 'fleur de lis'. (While punching this part my punch got stuck....I thought I'd killed it!!) Next I cut the some Chocolate Chip with the Label 3 die and layered with some Kiwi Kiss punched with the circle nesties (and pierced the edge) and punched a white panel and then embossed it. The butterfly is from my brand new Inkadinkado set 'Gem Stone Insects' clear stamp set. Stamped in Ruby Red, cut out and popped up on foam tape. Finished off by adding the sentiment in chocolate chip, some kaisercraft Chocolate pearls to the corners and either side of the sentiment and a chocolate coloured satin ribbon across the bottom.
Stamps - Gem Stone Insects (Inkadinkado), Birthday Whimsy (SU)
Paper - Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, White, Bella Rose DSP
Ink - Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip
Accessories - Label 3 dies, circle nestabilities, 2" circle punch, Fleur de lis punch (EK success), chocolate satin ribbon, chocolate pearls (kaisercraft), paper piercer, mat pack, Script EF

A Neutral Birthday and RAKS!!!!

I know it has been a VERY long time since my last post and many thanks to my friends who have been emailing me to make sure I'm OK. My Mum came to visit for the week-end and I haven't seen her since Christmas. We also went to the Papercrafts Festival here in Brisbane. I was struggling with a cold but it wasn't too bad. Monday Mum went home again and we also celebrated my daughter's 2nd Birthday by taking the family to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. Today my hubby went overseas and I woke up as sick as a dog!!!! I could barely talk at all. However I promised my neighbour that I would make a birthday card for her to give to her mother. All I was told was 'Neautral Colours'.......OK.....
I was inspired by this week's Weekend Sketch Challenge and set to work with a base of Very Vanilla. The three panels are my favourite papers by Kaisercraft - Cafe Culture, matted with Close to Cocoa.
The main panel comes from JustRite's Birthday Wishes Set that I stamped twice in Close to Cocoa. The first was cut out with circle nestabilites and matted with the scalloped circle nestie, the inner was punched with a 1 3/4in punch and popped up on foam tape. To finish I've added Kaisercraft Chino pearls to every second flourish in the sentiment panel, pearls to the top right corner and some dark cream satin ribbon across the bottom. Don't know if it's my best work, but it's nice to shake the cobwebs off and get creating again!!!
The next couple of cards are RAKS from my wonderful friends!!!! The first is from my BFF Edna who made this spectacular card to congratulate and celebrate my announcement on the JustRite DT!!!! Honestly, how cool is this card!!!! She is the queen of chipboard I'm telling you!!!! :) I had to blur the inside because of the personal message, but I really wanted to show off the inside!!!

The second amazing RAK comes from my wonderful cyber friend Michelle aka sf9erfan!!!
She made this GORGEOUS card for my Featured Stamper week on SCS and I'm telling you it looks even better IRL!!! See Michelle - the button didn't fall off!!!! :) She also popped in a pack of these super cute Aquamarine Kaisercraft rhinestones!!!!!
HUGE HUGS to both my friends for these wonderful gifts from the heart!!!!!
Well, I'm absolutely exhausted and still sick as a dog, so I'm heading to bed. Hope things are better in your part of the world!!!
Stamps - JustRite Birthday Wishes Set
Paper - Very Vanilla, Close to Cocoa, Kaisercraft - Cafe Culture
Ink - Close to Cocoa
Accessories - Chino pearls (Kaisercraft), dark cream satin ribbon, circle nestabilities, 1 3/4 inch punch, foam tape.

JustRite Card and NEWS!!!

Today I am thrilled to announce that I am joining the JustRite Design Team!!! I was so excited to be asked as I just love this product as regular readers of this blog would know! It is so perfect for making that special personlised gift or card for someone.

Today I've used the new Birthday Wishes Set. As soon as I saw this stamp I knew that I HAD to use it!!! Doesn't it just yell Girly Girl!!! And what better combination for it than Pink and Yellow!! I started with a base of light yellow Bazzill, layered with white and light pink (which I pierced the edges). Then I grabbed my much loved Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper and cut four panels leaving a space through the middle. My focal piece has been stamped twice, once in Orchid Versacolor, the other in Versamark and embossed with gold. Then I punched the centre of the gold one out with a 1 3/4in circle punch (I would have used nestabilities, but I don't have the small circle set.....yet!!) The pink one was cut with the large circle nestabilities and then matted with the scalloped yellow panel cut using the scalloped circle nesties. (Don't you just LOVE how these stamps PERFECTLY match with the Spellbinders dies!!!!) I finished off by adding some layered prima flowers, punched branches and Chino Kaisercraft pearls in the centres and along the centre of the card.

I've also decorated the inside using a strip of Urban Prairie paper, matted with white and cut out one of those adorable yellow butterflies!

For more JustRite ideas, visit their website and blog or the other Design Team girls on the sidebar!!

Our Ben is 4yrs!!!

In a few hours we'll be getting up to celebrate our little man's 4th Birthday!! I can't believe he is 4 already!!! Now anyone who reads this blog knows that I use soft colours, pearls and the like for my cards, so this is way out into left field for me.....where's my sunglasses??? :) I thought I'd use this week's Week-end Sketch Challenge as inspiration for his card.

I started with a base of vibrant green, layered with white and mid blue and topped with some Jasart paper. Used the same blue for the vertical strip and embossed with Spots and Dots EF. The white layer has been stamped using the small star from In the Stars by SU and the popped up Rocket is by Sandylion coloured in Ballet Blue and So Saffron. The sentiment panel is made using Just Rite Stampers. I've used the Small Letter Set for the writing around the edge and Times New Roman Font and stamper from the Damask DIY monogram set. Cut them out with circle nestabilities and a 1 1/4in punch for the 'B' (which is popped up) and the pinking nesties for the green layer. Finished off by adding a touch of spotted grosgrain ribbon to the bottom. (Yes I know the sketch says to put it at the top of my rocket panel.....but it just wouldn't go there!!! Do you think they'll mind??)

Stamps - Just Rite DIY Monogram Set - Damask and Small Letter Set, Sandylion

Paper- Green and blue bazzill, white, Jasart DSP

Ink - Black, Royal Blue Versacolor

Accessories - Circle and pinking circle nestabilities, pop dots, markers, 1 1/4in circle punch, spotted grosgrain ribbon, Spots and Dots embossing folder

Thank you so much to everyone who have asked about my finger. Thankfully the swelling has gone down, but it's still a lovely shade of purple and green!! With all the rain we are getting here at the moment softball could well be called off this week, and that would suit me just fine right now!!! Well tomorrow is going to be a big day so I'm going to get some sleep, thanks for visiting!!! :)

Hot Pink and Super Fast!!!

Ever have one of those cards that has to be made super fast --- this is one of mine! A friend asked me for a card, but it wasn't needed until next week (excellent......you know I've been busy enjoying this week after all!!!) - until I get a phone call asking if I could make it that day.....to post in 2 hours!!! YIKES!!! All I knew was that it was for a 50th birthday for someone called Helen who loved Hot Pink, Black and White!

The first thing I had to do was find some hot pink and scored when I found this fab damask pink and black paper lurking in my paper box. I have no idea where I found it, but it's by 'Glitz' and called 'Hot Mama Brocade'. I set to work --- I had 1 1/2 hrs! I started with a base of white, layered with black, pink and the brocade paper. I love Just Rite Stampers for this sort of thing, it personalises and can become the focal point of a card. I used the Small Letter Set to create the outer sentiment and the Special Occasions Font for the '50'. It was cut out with my circle nestabilities (the 50 was punched with a 1 1/4in punch and popped up). I used the next size up to cut a pink layer that I embossed with 'Textile' EF. Finally I mounted it all on the black layer that has been cut using the Label 3 nestabilities. Add a wide sheer ribbon and lots of pink bling on the centre piece and corners and hey presto, one super fast card!!! I got the card to her just in time.....and she said it would be perfect for her hot pink loving friend! Whew!!

That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!! :)

SC222 - Brother Birthday

It's the dreaded MAN CARD!!! Am I the only one that struggles with cards for men? I've decided to use this week's Sketch Challenge over at SCS to make a birthday card for my brother who is a very handyman/earthy kind of guy!
I started with a base of brown bazzill, topped with some Very Vanilla (pierced of course!) and then some dark green bazzill that I embossed with 'Distressed Stripes' embossing folder. Across the bottom I've added some paper by Heidi Grace, stamped the sentiment from SU's 'Occasional Greetings' (All Holidays) and then put copper brads in each corner. The main image is from SU's 'For Father' that I stamped in black on white card and coloured with markers and a blender using the same green and brown tones and then the edges were sponged with Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa. It was then layered on some green and brown bazzill, punched the side and added some ribbon and more brads.
That's all for today, thanks for visiting!!! :)

Burgandy 40th Birthday

This week I was asked how quickly I could make a burgandy and green 40th Birthday card --- "like that other one you made". Hmmmmm...... So this card probably looks a bit familiar, but that's what they wanted!

I started with a base of Very Vanilla, layered with Always Artichoke, Bravo Burgandy and then some paper by Grant with a toile burgandy print. Next I tied some light cream satin ribbon around it all and then some burgandy/red ribbon I had in my stash. The flower is from 'Bloomin' with Beauty' (or Bloomin' Beautiful if you are in the US) and stamped in black on very vanilla twice. The first one I coloured (in Always Artichoke and Bravo Burgandy and a touch of Ruby Red) and cut out using Rectangle nesties and embossed the edge. The second one I coloured in only the blossom and popped it over the other. Then I layered it on BB and AA. Finally I stamped the sentiment in AA using my Just Rite 1 5/8in Stamper and the Small Letter Set and Special Occasions Font (for the 40) and cut it out with circle nesties. Then I stamped the 40 again using BB, cut it out with 1 1/4in circle punch and popped it up.

All the Spellbinder Nestabilities and Just Rite products are available here in Australia through ABSA , just contact Michael and Colleen and they'll be happy to help! All other products are Stampin Up.

That's all for now, thanks for visiting!!! :)
