Wishing You Joy ~ Stamp Joy

Today I am posting the card I made for the Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy card swap that happened yesterday at the event in Des Moines.  I made 38 of these cards and all of the components are Taylored Expressions products. I hope to post more pictures from the events in the next week or so.

I really like the Season Sprig stamp and stencil set.  I saw a few samples made on Toffee cardstock and thought I would give it a try. I first stamped the image and sentiment on the panel with black ink.  I picked a more generic saying so it can be used for any winter occasion.  I brush blended the 2 piece coordinating stencil with Cilantro and Cherry Pop.  I then splattered Dr. Ph Martin's Bleed Proof White over the panel.  The cardbase is Cherry Pop.

I hope you like my card.  And, I hope my Stamp Joy attendees who swapped with me also liked my card.  Stay tuned for a picture of the cards I received

Stamp Joy Catch-Up

First--I want to wish you a very Happy Easter.  He is Risen Indeed!

Today is the last day of March and I am posting a set of cards for our challenge-The Catch-up Club!  A few of my stamping friends, Darlene, Jeanette and Terry along with myself, have signed up for a number of virtual stamping events in the past 3+ years.  One of the benefits of these events are that they are available to rewatch or even watch for the first time at a later date as they are all recorded. The 4 of us "try" to watch live and chat by texting during the event.  But, life steps in and there are times when one or more of us are not participating during the live.  Then, the kits from sponsors sits in our stamping area until we are ready to watch the video and create.  During one of the events, we decided we needed to push ourselves (and each other) to get some of these events done!   So--we all decided to devote one day a month, the last day of the month for the somewhat procrastinators that we are, to post cards we missed making.  So--here we are in our 15th month of The Catch Up Club!

Reminder--these are not my own designs!  The cards are the designs of the other instructors from these classes.  I am just recreating the cards from the class. This month the creations are from Stamp Joy, a virtual event by Taylored Expressions.  This was a two day event that was held earlier this month when we were in Colorado.

The first two pictures below are from Friday's class, which was an add on. The top one was called Stretch your Scraps.  We made the cards using strips of cardstock to form many different patterns.  The second picture was the afternoon class called Thrilling 3D.  We used two new embossing folders in unique ways!

The next photo shows the cards I made from Saturdays class.  I did skip one class in which 4 cards were made with a floral background we stamped.  I did not like my background, so I will use the pieces for another set of cards.   The toffee slimline on the top left was designed to be a calendar, but I made a card instead.

Taylored Expressions really knows how to do events--virtual and in person.  Love the classes and the teachers too!  And, my friend Jeanette also won an awesome door prize during the event.  Next time I hope it is me!

I still have more events waiting in their zippered pouches for me! I am still behind, so more Catch Up to Come!

I hope you enjoyed my cards!  Here are the links to the other of the Catch Up Club.  Please be sure to check out Jeanette's, Terry's, and Darlene's blogs.  They may post today or tomorrow, but we have all promised to post cards that we have missed the making along the way!

Stamp Joy 2022 Recap

Another fun year at Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy 2022!!!!! I drove to Des Moines last Thursday and came home on Sunday.  It was an awesome time with about 225 attendees. We received an awesome swag bag, in a fun canvas bag about rainbows!  I did not win a door prize this year, but that was okay.

I took two classes--the cards are below:

The cards on the left are from a not released yet (and maybe not in the future) create-in-quads stencil set called Scenic Route.  I love the colors they picked and they work so well together.   The 4 cards on the right were from the Saturday alcohol ink class and we received the fun leaf die.

This is picture of all of the cards that were swapped Friday night and the second picture is of the 34 cards I got in the swap.  If you missed my blog post yesterday, I posted my swap card.

These are the 10 make n' takes I made on Friday and Saturday.

Then on Friday night was the Crafty Olympics.  There were 20 teams of 4 people and we did 4 events.  Our team was the Champions!  We took a team picture with Taylor and the second picture shows the prize package each of us won.

On Sunday, we were able to sign up for a tour of the new TE building that iis to open mid-November.  This is the sweet sign from the outside and those on our tour.  We also received another fun swag bag for attending.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and reading a bit about my fun weekend!

Oh Yes You Did!

Today I am posting the card I made for the Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy card swap this past weekend.  I made 35 of these cards and we swapped them Friday night.  All of the components are Taylored Expressions products.   I will post a picture of the cards I have received in the next few days.

I really like black and white cards--they are stunning!  This was a very time consuming card and it took me many hours to make all of them. The most challenging part was die cutting the Flourishing Frame from Black Glossy cardstock.  It took a long time to weed each one and there were little fibers that needed to be taken off too. The background is embossed with the TE folder called Dotted Lattice.  The sentiment is from the Oh Yes You Did stamp set--I love so many of the sentiments in this set!  Some  black Drip Drops are the final touch!

I hope you like my card.  And, I hope my Stamp Joy attendees who swapped with me also liked my card.  Stay tuned for a picture of the cards I received

Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy!

Another Virtual Event Done! These are the cards from Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy that was held in March.  I signed up for the event knowing that I would not make any of the classes as I was at the Wisconsin High School Girls State Basketball Tournament for 3 days!  But--that is what makes these virtual events so perfect as they are all recorded and I can go back to watch and create when I get time.  So--this past few days I watched the Friday class along with the Saturday event.

These 4 cards were from the Friday class and we used a fun stamp, stencil and matching die to make some sweet cards. Shaker card, a fun embossed card, a fun-fold slimline along lots of ink blending!  It was a Great Class!

These 4 cards were using a new and exclusive quad-stencil.  I love the colors we ink blended and they would make some great masculine cards.  The coordinating stamp set has some fun sentiments along with some small stamps that can be added on to the inked panels.  I love the Quad Stencils!

The final 6 cards were also from Saturday's event.  We did more ink blending, used some fun stencils and also learned how to add white gel pen accents.  I love the variety of cards and the teachers are so creative--and fun, plus funny!

Thanks for stopping my my blog and checking out my cards!  The next virtual event I need to make up is the Pinkfresh Studio Create and Connect that was held last weekend.  Thank Goodness for these classes being recorded too!
