2022 One Plus Twelve Returns

This is my One Plus Twelve card, first month of 2022!  This was the brainchild of Kelly and she asked Jeanette and me to join her in this challenge in 2019. We are to use just one stamp, to make a card every month and post on the 3rd of each month.  It was so much fun that the three of decided to continue for our fourth year and pick a new image to use.

For 2022, I picked newer Stampin' Up set called Nature's Harvest.  I think this set is so pretty and I picked the largest coneflower or sunflower image to use each month.  There is also a coordinating die set called Harvest so I can use that some months too.

For my first card, I stamped the image and then colored it with my Copic Sketch markers. I die cut the image and layered it on a dotted oval by Sizzix. The background was embossed with a sweet folder from Anna Griffin and Cricut-Cuttlebug called Matelassé.  The sentiment is from the same set and I used one of the dies to cut it out.  I added a few green enamel dots along with some linen thread for the final touch!

Please be sure to check out the other One plus Twelve cards.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog. I am sure you will enjoy checking out what stamp set each of them picked for 2022 and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card and that you might too! Be sure to check back every month on the 3rd to see our cards!

Mission Possible

Today is the first of a new challenge with the three collaborators you have seen many times in the past--Kelly, Jeanette and me!  I think this is our 6th challenge amongst us!  Jeanette came up with this new challenge called Mission Possible!  Jeanette sent us a mystery item and asked if we would accept the challenge to make a project with the items even before opening the package!  Of course, Kelly and I said yes, so the challenge is on.  We are going to do this quarterly and the item will change each round!  This Will be Mission Possible!

Jeanette sent us each a bottle of Ink on 3 Liquid Pixie Dust.  She also commented that it might be on our hands and clothes--and it was, along with all over my craft table.  I cut and layered the Celebrate die from Stampin' Up from Basic Black three times.  I put a few drops of the Pixie Dust and mixed with a few drops of water.  I then used my water brush and colored the Celebrate letters. I layered three patterns from a package of Cricut Foil called Red Embossed Paper for more shimmer and shine.   I added three black glimmer dots to the card.  I think met the challenge--mission accomplished! And, I am excited to do this again!

Here is a close-up of the shimmer as it is hard to photograph:

Please be sure to check out the other Mission Possible projects with Pixie Dust.  Here is a link to Jeanette's and Kelly's blog.  I am sure you will not be disappointed and will see a couple of great cards! I hope Kelly and Jeanette like my card. Be sure to check back to see what we create in June--and see what item Jeanette sends us to create with!

This card is for this week's challenge to make a Christmas card. I inked up a fun Stampin' Up set called Snowflake Sentiments.  I used the matching thinlits Swirly Snowflakes.  I can always use more Christmas cards and this challenge was perfect for this!

2019~~A Card a Week Challenge

Happy New Year's Day! Welcome to 2019!

Today is the first day of my challenge for 2019--I am calling it "A Card a Week". I set a goal to do a card a week--for 52 weeks--with a preset challenge for each month.  If you saw my post yesterday, you read my challenge themes for each month--January is Fancy Folds!  Each Tuesday, I will post a card that fits the theme of the monthly challenge.

Today is a gate fold card--one of my favorite fancy folds to make.  It is not that hard to do and I think it is a nice way to highlight a fun image or cute sentiment.  Today, I went with a sentiment that is perfect for New Year's Day!  I used some shiny metallic striped paper that I got last summer.  It was a pack of Cricut Papers that was on clearance and has various patterns of reds.

Here is the card opened a bit:

I hope you will stop back each Tuesday to see my creation for my A Card a Week Challenge!  January will be all about Fancy Folds!
