Let's Ketchup Soon!

This is my card for a newer swap called the SIS--Surprise Image Swap.   This is card #4 and it is the same premise as before with the UIS or mystery image swap. The group will be a bi-monthly swap where we all use the same image, sent to us by the hostess.  The surprise part is that we are to not discuss the image at all until the day they are to be posted--the 18th of every other month.   The image for this round was provided by Carol.  She will swap the cards and include the new image for round #5 that Laura Jean stamps in everyone's return envie. Then--we do it all again in October!

Carol sent everyone two images and a number of sentiments from a stamp set from Hampton Arts/Tracey Hey.  I colored the sweet dachshund image with my Copic Sketch Markers.  I did cut the image and the black frame, along with the sentiment with my Gina K Designs Master Layouts 2.  The patterned papers in the background are from Basic Grey called Max and Whiskers-Goldie. I have had these papers forever as I loved all lines of Basic Grey when I first started stamping.   I added some brown jewels from The Ton as the final touch.

Here is the inside of my cards with a strip of the patterned paper:

If you check some of the other blogs listed on my sidebars, you may find some other swappers who have posted their creations.  The due date is today, the 18th, or they may post in the upcoming days. You can also check out SCS and use the keyword SIS04 to see some posted there.  I hope everyone in the swap likes my card--and that you do too!

Classy Card Ladies Sketch

Today is the 15th and that means it is another posting day for our group, the Crafty Card Ladies!   The team names are the Pearls and the Diamonds--very Classy names for us!   For our April Challenge, Laura Jean and Darlene are the hostesses. Darlene is a Pearl and Laura Jean is a Diamond, just like me!   And we are all team Classy Card Ladies!

The theme for April that was picked is a Sketch Challenge.  In the 10 years the original members of the group have been together, there has never been a sketch challenge-can you believe that!  This is the sketch that Laura Jean asked the Diamonds to use--Tuesday Morning Sketch 592! Thanks Melissa of TMS for letting us use this sketch!

Laura Jean sent everyone a kit with a Tim Holtz Spring 2021 Flower.  She also include some coordinating sentiments and I used one on the inside of my card. Laura Jean also included some Basic Grey Origins patterned paper along with some fun ribbons and pretty embellishments.

I colored the flower and stem image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I then cut strips of three of the four patterned papers and layered them over a strip of cardstock.  I used the 4th patterned paper as my background.  I added three of the enamel dots LJ sent for the final part of the sketch.  This was fun card to make!

Here is the inside of my card, with one of the sentiments, ribbon and a tag LJ included in the kit:

I hope all of the Classy Card Ladies enjoy my card this month. Please be sure to stop in to see what all of the Diamonds as well the Pearls have created this month.  There are two members who do not have blogs: Suzy who is on the Diamond team and Debby who is a Pearl. You will be able to check out their creations in their SCS gallery, if you click on the link for their name.  All of the others should be found on my left sidebar.  I am sure you will enjoy all of the wonderful creations this month!  See you next month in May, when Carol and Shelly are the hostesses!

Halloween ~ Scary or Cute?

This is my card for the October Challenge Your Stash group on SCS.  This is our 10th month of de-stashing!

The premise is to create a card or something else that uses only items that are in your own stamp room--nothing new is to be purchased.  The hostess each month posts their challenge to the group and the card is due to be posted on the 28th. Each person in the group creates their card with their own image, their own papers, their own embellishments with their own supplies--using up items from their own stash!  The card can be for any occasion and each person is encouraged to send the card on its way to someone so it can be admired.  It is a way for us to step out of the box a bit and create something that follows a challenge--isn't that what a challenge is supposed to be.  And--no money is spent as all items are to be already available in each of own stamping spaces.

Jody posted our October challenge--Halloween--scary or cute?   Jody mentioned that she has a disagreement with her son about how to decorate for Halloween.  So--we were to create a card that represents how we decorate for Halloween in our home.  I guess you can see, I am on the Cute Side!  I do have a number of Halloween stamps, so more of a challenge was to decide which one to use--so of course I pick Whipper Snapper Designs!  There is a bit of sparkle on his nose and cheeks, along with some black sparkle on the spider!

Here is the inside of my card:

If you check some of the blogs on my sidebar, you may find others who have posted their cards today or in the next day or so.  There may be more posted in the thread on SCS, so you might want to check out the link here.  We also have a keyword for the SCS Gallery--it is CYSOCT.  You might see many cards there is you do a search.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I know I am excited to check out what my other hoarders, I mean stash reducers have made!  Thanks for stopping by today!  For November, Vickie is up and I cannot wait to see her challenge.  Be sure to check back to see what we create!

Christmas CraZy

This is card #4 is for a group that Jeanette started on SCS.  Jeanette is the Queen of Christmas and has way more trees and Christmas decorations in her house that I do---and that is quite an accomplishment!  This group is called Christmas CraZy.  This is a bi-monthly "swap" in which we are paired with someone in the group for those two months.  We are to send a kit to our partner--two identical images and two pieces of patterned paper. We can also send a matching sentiment.  That is it--no embellishments like ribbon, brads, buttons, etc., or additional cardstock--just images and two pieces of Christmas patterned paper.  We are to send the kit to our partner during the odd numbered month--like May.  We then make and post our card on the even month!  Then, next round, we are paired with another person and get to do it all again.

For July and August, we are to send a full kit to our partner.  We send images and patterned paper, but also include embellishments and ribbons or fibers.  This time, I was matched with Imke and received a great kit all the way from Germany. I hope that Imke and the others like my card!

I think the Whiff of Joy image is too cute.  I added some Wink of Stella clear glitter on the star, the tree and on the shoes to give it a bit of Christmas Sparkle!

Here is the inside of my card:

I am back with another card made from Heather's card kit group.  I was the recipient in April of 11 card kits! I have them all waiting for me in a box by my stamp table, waiting patiently for their turn to be created.  I was able to make 4 cards last Saturday at Camp Stamp-in-Oga and started posting them yesterday and will have two more coming.  There is no a theme for these kits--each lady sent anything they wanted.  Some seemed to tailor their kits to the month of April and others for images they think fit me.  Thanks Ladies

This card from kit #2, from Laura Jean. It was a fun kit with a couple cute images and some great sentiments. LJ also included some pretty patterned paper along with matching embellishments.  I hope I did OK and that LJ likes my creation.  Thanks Bunches for a great kit LJ!!!

Birthday Cupcake

I am finally making cards from the card kits that I received in October............   I am not sure why it has taken me so long to get motivated to make them, but I am now pretty much caught up on swaps and design team responsibilities.  I was able to make three cards yesterday and will post two more cards I made from the kits in the next week.

These card kits are from the 2015 group on SCS that Jeanette organized.  She asked us to post our likes or requests for the ladies who make the monthly kits--and I posted that I would like an image or two from their favorite company.  I sure received a variety of images and many people wrote a note about the company!

This card was made from a card kit sent by Terry Serman--it was the first kit I received.  Terry sent a fantastic kit with two cute Penny Black images and many embellishments!  This was a fun kit to play with!  I hope I did OK and that Terry likes my card.
