The Car Battery is a non-lethal melee weapon introduced in HITMAN™ 2 that, when thrown or shot at, will rupture and electrocute persons who are standing in a body of water that it lands in. Such deaths count as accidents. It will burn out after delivering one shock, leaving it inert (as well as unobtainable); otherwise, the battery can be retrieved and reused.

Trivia[]
- Car battery is illegal to throw in any disguise.
- Not all water bodies in the game act as a conductor for electricity, meaning that this and other electrocution devices will not function in them. Examples include the shower stall in Nightcall and one of Vanya Shah's small face washing pools in Chasing a Ghost (the latter in fact acts as a solid surface for thrown/placed objects, though it can still be used for drowning.)
- The battery's sparks will ignite any flammable material that it comes into contact with, as well as leaking gas from ruptured propane tanks.
