Hoover Aisla (フーバー・アイスラ Fūbā Aisura?) is a fictional character from the manga Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt and its ONA adaptation.
Background[]
A Zeon soldier with a prosthetic left arm, Hoover was the initial commander of the Living Dead Division's mobile suit team. He pilots a MS-09R Rick Dom. He is described by Daryl Lorenz as a "playboy-wannabe", though unknown to the others he was in a relationship with Dr. Karla Mitchum. [1]
Under Hoover's command, the Living Dead Division occupied the remains of Side 4, or Moore, now known as the "Thunderbolt Sector". They initially repel an operation from the Moore Brotherhood to recapture it, but he is killed by Io Fleming, who shoots him in the head and throws him out into space, hijacking his Rick Dom. His body is recovered by his teammates.
