Gauntlets

From Fire Emblem Wiki, your source on Fire Emblem information. By fans, for fans.
For the monster weapon from Fire Emblem Fates, see Gauntlet.

Brawling (Japanese: 格闘術 Grappling skill) weapons or gauntlets (Japanese: 籠手 gauntlet) are a weapon type which was introduced in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. They are the weakest weapon type in this game and universally have lower might than their counterparts, but they tend to have good accuracy and are by far the most lightweight weapons. Additionally, every gauntlet acts as a brave weapon, compensating their relatively low might.

Overview

Unlike other weapons in Three Houses, pure magical-oriented classes and mounted classes cannot use brawling weapons. If a mounted class dismounts however, some of them can use brawling weapons.

Trivia

Ashe attacking at range with Brawling weapons in Three Houses (normal attack).
Ashe attacking at range with Brawling weapons in Three Houses (critical hit).
  • Gauntlets are the only weapon type in Three Houses that are locked to 1-range combat (excluding the Pneuma Gale combat art). Despite this, they do have a set of animations when attacking from afar, which can be seen if a unit wielding gauntlets is attacked during Enemy Phase while equipped with the Counterattack skill.
