Aircalibur
| ||||
|
Aircalibur (Japanese: エイルカリバー Aircalibur) is an uncommon anima tome which, in legitimate gameplay, is exclusive to Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade. It is a lightweight and fairly accurate tome, whose main feature is its effectiveness against flying units.
Although only legitimately available in The Binding Blade, an unfinished version of the spell can be found unused in the data of Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones, known as Alacalibur in English and other non-Japanese versions.

Other appearances
Fire Emblem Cipher
Aircalibur is present as a skill on one card in Fire Emblem Cipher: B05-025R Anima Child, Lugh. It is a manual-activation skill which, for a cost of flipping 1 bond card, adds the common "Anti-Fliers" skill to Lugh until the end of the turn, temporarily giving him an effective bonus of +30 to his attack power when fighting flying-type cards.

Trivia
- The unfinished version of Alacalibur from The Sacred Stones lacks its own icon, using the Killer Ballista icon as a placeholder. Its sound effects were not imported from The Binding Blade, so it instead cuts off the battle music (if battle animations are enabled), though sound effects associated with the caster or the impact with the enemy will still play.

English |
Alacalibur |
Name used for its unused incarnation in The Sacred Stones. Likely a rough mis-translation of "Aircalibur", which was left unrevised as there was no point in fixing the name of an unused item. |
English (unofficial) |
Aircalibur |
Used in the The Binding Blade fan translation. |
Japanese |
エイルカリバー |
Aircalibur. A combination of air and calibur (from Excalibur), a suffix often used for wind tomes in the Fire Emblem series. Spelled "Alacalibur" in internal filename remnants in The Sacred Stones. エイル eiru is not a usual Japanese transcription of the word "air", which is normally transcribed as エア ea when borrowing from English and as エール ēru when borrowing from French. |
