Cannonballs are a weapon type introduced in Fire Emblem Engage. Weapons of this type strike foes from a great distance at the cost of close range retaliation.
Overview[]
Comparable to the Ballistician class from Shadow Dragon or Ballistas themselves, cannonballs boast superior range at the loss of the ability to counter at 1-2 range. Damage dealt by this weapon type is dependent on the user's Dexterity stat, and can hit either Defense or Resistance, depending on the cannonball being used.
The Hit Rate of cannonballs decreases the further away the unit is from the foe they're attacking. They also cannot perform Follow-Up Attacks, and cannot easily perform critical attacks due to all cannonballs possessing a negative critical hit rate chance.
