Balberith is the most potent Dark magic tome in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. This tome is wielded by Izuka, and he drops it once defeated. When cast, the background of the immediate surroundings will be mired by a cloak of darkness, whereupon a byzantium magic circle will materialize around the selected enemy target. This magic circle will essentially tear a temporal rift into the underworld, causing demonic winds to assail and crush the target.

Etymology[]
Baal-berith (also called Baalberith) is the combination of the names of two Canaanite gods, Ba'al and Berith. Baal-berith is also perceived to be a Christian demon, where he is said to tempt men into committing blasphemy and murder. In Hebrew, "Balberith" literally means "Lord of Devotion".
