Elsirelle is a playable character of War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. Known as the Slumbering Sword, she serves as a soldier of Leonis, although she wasn't recruited into any of the kingdom's divisions because of her tendency to fall asleep in pretty much any place or situation. She even slept through the invasion of her kingdom and castle, later teaming up with Camillo, who sneaked into that same Castle in order to save the captive princess Machérie Hourne.

Personality[]

Elsirelle at first is able to resist the lovelorn Camillo, with whom she allies briefly to search for Machérie Hourne. She is narcoleptic, though her condition does not manifest in combat. Outside of battle, she prefers to retire to her quarters in Leonis Castle, where she has a comfortable bed. This quirk of hers is also said to be the reason why she wasn't scouted to become a member of Fortem or Caelum, despite her prowess in battle.

Story[]

Elsirelle is introduced during chapter 11 of the first arc, where she is one of a small number of soldiers that were not assigned to a battalion. She explains this as being attributed to her condition, as she could fall asleep at any point in time and therefore prove unreliable on the battlefield.

As Fennes forces plot to lure Leonis into conflict by kidnapping Machérie Hourne and imprisoning her in Leonis Castle, the resultant commotion draws a number of other parties to aid in her rescue, including a lovestruck Camilo, a dragoon from the conquered territory of Heindler, who runs into her. Although the two trade blows when Camillo tries to charm Elsirelle, the pair agrees to search for Machérie. Camillo intends to resolve his own unrequited crush on the princess, which only serves to bolster the tension between them. The two nonetheless probe every room in the labyrinthine fortress, but find no sign of Machérie even as Fennes and Sanctum soldiers attempt to stall them. At one point, Elsirelle simply drifts off to sleep, without any sort of warning.

Camillo and Elsirelle are in a state of shock when they discover Sterne, the second prince of Leonis, combing the castle in search of his next target, his own brother Mont. Both make an effort to intervene, but are nearly killed by Sterne amid his escalating rage. Mont himself later joins the fray and is able to push Sterne aside so that he and others, Elsirelle and Camillo included, can escape.

Shortly thereafter, Mont is on the verge of battle with a transmogrified Muraga Fennes. It is at this point that Camillo departs, as he has other concerns. With Mont's support, Elsirelle leaves Leonis as well.

Gameplay[]

Elsirelle[]

A swordswoman of Leonis. However, she is not a member of any unit. Though she is blessed with her skills with a sword, she's known to fall asleep anywhere at any time. Because of this drawback, neither Mont nor Sterne have requested her enlistment. She has burning feelings of rivalry toward Lilyth.

Character description

Elsirelle is a UR-rarity unit of the Light element whose main job is Nightblade, while her sub jobs are Spellblade and Dual Gunner. She can equip the following items: Greatsword, Helm, Armor, Accessory. Her unit cost is 80.

Her Master Ability increases Light unit allies' Max HP by 10% and Light Attack by 15, as well as her own ACC by 10 and Missile/Pierce Attack Resistance by 5%. Her limit burst is Goodnight Rumble, which Deals Dmg (L) to targets within range & lowers own AP consumption for 3 turns.

An adorable heart-shaped hairpin of such great quality that it never slips out or allows its wearer's hair to fall into disarray, no matter what position they sleep in. This hairpin holds a special place in Elsirelle's heart as she has a habit of falling asleep abruptly, and as such she polishes it once every three days.

Heart-Shaped Hairpin description

Her Trust Master Reward is the Heart-Shaped Hairpin accessory which bestows HP +252, SPR +10 and ACC +12. Its special ability is Wake-Up Impact, which Raises Accuracy Rate of allies within area around self for 3 turns.

Elsirelle (Summer)[]

The problem with the ocean is that falling asleep in it means drowning, so I can't say I'm fond of it. And there is this sunlight... In any case, I much prefer lounging around my room napping. So why have I come to the beach, you ask? Hmph. I just thought we should make some memories together. I hope you appreciate this.

Character description

Elsirelle (Summer) is a UR-rarity unit of the Water element whose main job is Scholar, while her sub jobs are Paladin and Kotodama Wielder. She can equip the following items: Book, Hat, Clothing, Accessory. Her unit cost is 90.

Her Master Ability increases Water unit allies' Max HP by 10% and Water Attack by 15, as well as her own MAG by 15% and Fire Attack Resistance by 10%. Her limit burst is Dreamy Typhoon, which deals Dmg (L) to targets within range based on caster's MAG stat & Guaranteed Hit & reduces AP.

A cute ribbon gifted to Elsirelle by a friend she made in a village while traveling. Powerful feelings are imbued within it in the form of a magic that protects her. By wearing it, she is shielded from a variety of calamities, but this effect is not given the chance to shine since she usually keeps the ribbon locked safely away deep inside her luggage.

Blessed Ribbon description

Her Trust Master Reward is the Blessed Ribbon accessory, which bestows HP +280, DEF +10, MAG +35 and the Beachside Rejuvenation ability, which recovers HP (M) of allies within range.

Winter Holiday Party is a UR-rarity vision card with a cost of 80. At Lv. 99, its stats are HP +304, MAG +172 and DEX +42. Its Party Abilities are Area Attack Res Up 20 and Water Unit DEX Up 35%. Its Limited Bestowed Effects are MAG Up 10% for Mace-wielding job classes only, as well as Water Attack Up 20 for Ildyra and Elsirelle (Summer) only. Its Vision Ability is Height 3 Holy Night's Purge, which can only be used by Mace-wielding job classes and deals Light Dmg (M) to targets within range based on caster's MAG stat & increases potency against targets whose Height is a multiple of 3 & lowers ATK/MAG & increases effect against targets whose Height is a multiple of 3 & chance to inflict Immobilize & increases chance against targets whose Height is a multiple of 3. Whistles pierce the air and applause erupts from the crowd. Hordes of people surround the stage, raising their voices in praise and admiration.
At the center stands Zazan, smugly holding a trophy in his meaty hand. He lets out a roar of joy and casts one of the attached ribbons into the sky.
"Hahaha! I was confident I wouldn't die during the poll, but I never dreamed I'd end up in first place!"
The second and third-place winners, Elsirelle and Mont, commend him with smiles on their faces. Even those who were enemies kept their blades sheathed for this moment alone to wholeheartedly celebrate the victor chosen by the people.

Its Limited Bestowed Effects are Max HP Up 15% for Water units only, as well as Man Eater Up 20 for Mont Leonis, Mont (King of Leonis), Elsirelle, Zazan and Zazan the Unkillable only.
