Amnelis is a major character in War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius and a member of Hess' Eight Sages, being the last one to be revealed across the Final Fantasy Exvius Universe.
Amnelis teams up with Gilgamesh as the two search for a means to return to their home of Paladia after being transported and left stranded in the world of Lapis.
History[]
Background[]
Amnelis was a member of Hess' Eight Sages, taking part in the bloody Paladian Civil War, which pitted the forces of Aldore against the rebels of Hess. She was an expert in the field of visionary magic, which sought to unify the power of the Crystals with technology, putting her at odds with many in Hess who viewed technology as the domain of Aldore. When she conceived the Giant of Babil, based on Weapon and powered by the heart of her fellow Sage Sol, the Hess came to understand its value, revolutionizing their military strategies.
At some point she encountered Gilgamesh, who had shown disdain for Raegen's plan to seal the Sages in Crystal so as to leave the Sworn Eight of Paladia as the superior military force in the world and use this leverage to force negotiations between both nations.
Due to unknown circumstances, Gilgamesh was deemed killed in action despite being alive. Whether he carried out his orders or not is undisclosed, although both were together when Vlad used an Interdimensional Gate to transport the landmass of the battlefield into the world of Lapis, ejecting them from their home world while leaving Vlad to rule with impunity.
Stranded in a different world and separated from the rest of their comrades on the continent of Ardra, Gilgamesh and Amnelis plotted the means to return to their home world. At some point, an unknown foe is laying waste to Ardra, and in order for Gilgamesh to gain the strength needed to best this foe, Amnelis offers to craft him a new suit of armor, even more powerful than his own Veritas of the Frost armor, and possessing magically infused wings, which grant Gilgamesh the ability of flight. Using this armor, Gilgamesh was later able to obtain the blade Excalibur, a weapon said to cut through space.
Amnelis and Gilgamesh eventually made their base of operations in Ariale, a land considered holy by the denizens of Ardra, with Gilgamesh earning infamy as a god-like being.
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius[]
Despite her role as one of the Sages of Hess, Amnelis is largely unseen in this game, only having one small cameo during a crossover event with War of the Visions, which depicted the events of when Amnelis crafted Gilgamesh's new armor, which the later praised her for the result. Her role in the Hess military was later explained by Sol during the Dark Lineage story event, though she did not directly appear.

Characteristics[]
Appearance[]
Amnelis has the appearance of a young woman with fair skin, golden eyes and extremely long, messy blond hair with curved tips that seemingly float. She walks barefooted and dons a long white robe which exposes her navel, and several black outlines with golden patterns. These robes work akin to a suit which extends up to her arms and serving as gloves. A short golden cover looms over her chest which is tied to a long golden floor-length cape. The golden clothing is tied to her neck by a golden, shining choker. Sprawling from her shoulder are what appear to be two elongated and stiff armored pieces with a curved design, with layered segments. Amnelis dons a golden yellow hairpin in her head shaped like a flower.
Personality[]
Amnelis is best known for her lack of personality. She speaks the bare minimum, and whenever she does, it is in a robotic manner and inexpressive sentences. She speaks in cryptic terms, which Gilgamesh is able to understand. Amnelis is seemingly capable of gazing at both present and future events of Ardra and uses this information to guide Gilgamesh in their plans.
