Objectives[]

1. Find Gaenor in the Temple Courtyard and talk to him
2. He will ask for 50, 100, 1000, 10,000, and 1,000,000
3. Don't pay him
4. Return to the Temple Courtyard after two days
5. Kill Gaenor

Walkthrough[]

Gaenor can be found in the Temple Courtyard near the palace gate, and initially claims to be newly arrived in Mournhold, and asks the Nerevarine for a favor. If spoken to about this favor, he will ask for gold to help him set up a business in Mournhold. Initially the amounts seem reasonable, as he asks for escalating amounts of , starting with 50, then 100, then escalating quickly to 1000, 10 000, and finally 1 000 000. If they refuse to pay, Gaenor will insist on it being an insignificant amount, then threatens them, then finally vows revenge before ending the conversation. Fighting him is inevitable once he is spoken to about the favor, as even if the Nerevarine agrees to pay him the 1 000 000 he will think they are patronising him and vow revenge.

After a few days have passed, Gaenor will reappear near where he was first met, patrolling the area near the Temple steps in full Ebony Armor. He will approach the Nerevarine after spotting them, and after a brief conversation will attempt to kill them. He is a difficult opponent, but defeating him will complete the quest.
