Takanori Hoshino (星野 貴紀 Hoshino Takanori, born on May 8, 1980) is a Japanese voice actor from Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. He is currently affiliated with Office Osawa.
He is well known for being the voice of Jack Atlas in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's and Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V and Iori Yagami from The King of Fighters series.
Biography[]
The reason he decided to enter the performing arts industry was because a close friend who was attending a drama school in Osaka Prefecture died in the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. He wondered why his friend was attending a school in Osaka, when there are plenty of schools in Tokyo as well, but he learned that his friend had gone to Osaka to study with a teacher there. At that time, Hoshino rode his bike every day and had no experience with acting, but he wondered what it was that he wanted so much, and joined the drama club at his school.
He was a member of the "Voice Actor Club" project at the Performing Arts Center for the show "Gakkou e Ikou!". At the time, he was known as "Noppo".
Since 2018, he has been the exclusive voice actor for the Japanese version of the Disney character Mickey Mouse.
He has passed the Eiken Grade 3 test and his special skill is basketball.
His voice type is bass. He has appeared in foreign film dubbing and anime, as well as on stage. He is the voice actor for Henry Cavill in foreign films.
