David Richard Wald (born on May 11, 1973) is an American musician, theatre actor, voice actor, ADR director and writer. He attended the University of Miami as a Jazz music major before moving to Houston, Texas to become a stage actor. He's affiliated with ADV Films, FUNimation Entertainment/Crunchyroll, OkraTron 5000, Sound Cadence Studios and Sentai Filmworks/Seraphim Digital. He's known for the voices of Gajeel Redfox in Fairy Tail and Bulat in Akame ga Kill!.
In November 2024, David Wald announced that he will no longer be doing voice work for Crunchyroll as he claimed the company illegally opened his mail and gave away contents. All his roles will be recast.[1][2]
