Kengan Ashura (ケンガンアシュラ) is a 2019 web anime series based on the manga series with the same name written and illustrated by Yabako Sandrovich's. It was serialized and published in Shogakukan's Ura Sunday Comics magazine from April 18, 2012 to August 9, 2018, with a total of 27 volumes.
The anime series was announced in May of 2015, in the magazine as part of the Ura Sunday fan poll on which series should receive an anime, to which Kengan Ashura won the poll. It was animated by Larx Entertainment, directed by Seiji Kishi, and released the first batch consisting of 12 episodes on Netflix on July 31, 2019, while the second batch with the final 12 episodes premiered on October 31, 2019. On March 24, 2022, it was announced that the series is receiving a second season and split into two parts, with the first part premiering on September 21, 2023, while the second part premiered on August 15, 2024.
