The Bad Guys 2 is an upcoming American computer-animated heist comedy film loosely based on the children's book series of the same name by Aaron Blabey, produced by DreamWorks Animation Studios and distributed by Universal Pictures. It is the sequel to The Bad Guys (2022). It will be the studio's 49th feature film. Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Zazie Beetz, Craig Robinson, Awkwafina, Anthony Ramos, and Alex Borstein reprise their roles from the previous film, while Danielle Brooks, Natasha Lyonne, and Maria Bakalova join the cast.

The Bad Guys 2 is scheduled to be released in the United States on August 1, 2025. It will be Dreamworks' 49th feature film.

Synopsis[]

The Bad Guys 2 follows the crackerjack criminal crew of animal outlaws who are struggling to find trust and acceptance in their newly minted lives as Good Guys. However, they're pulled out of retirement and forced to do "one last job" by an all-female squad of criminals.[1]

In March 2024, it was revealed that a sequel to The Bad Guys was in development at DreamWorks Animation, with the entire cast and crew from the previous film returning.[1]
