Watering can

This fortnight's challenge at Crafting From the Heart is being sponsored by

As usual the theme is anything goes.

I used the digi called garden silhouette and cut it out using a pentagonal die. This was then matted onto black and then white card and then attached to a pentagonal easel card which I had formed from black card. I matted white card onto the easel base and used a sentiment matted onto black card for the easel stop.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - anything goes
   Digi Choosday - anything goes
   Allsorts - make it masculine
The Crafter's Cafe - layer it up
   Lemon Shortbread - anything goes
Through The Craft Room Door - anything goes
   Penny's Paper-Crafty - anything goes

Send a smile 4 kids blog hop

Welcome to our huge blog hop and celebration of Send A Smile 4 Kids’ 175th Challenge! The theme of our blog hop is Christmas in July 4 Kids because it is never too early to start making holiday cards for all the kids in the many children’s hospitals we now serve. We would love for each child to receive a holiday card as well as be able to pick some for special medical staff or loved ones they are missing during the holiday season.

We have 17 stops in the blog hop and at each stop you have one or two chances at winning just by leaving a comment. You can also earn a chance to win a prize by commenting on the blog post on our SAS4Kids blog and also by entering the Christmas in July challenge which starts July 21st and runs through August 3rd at noon.

Here is a list of all our wonderful sponsors and the prizes that you could win:

One comment on any of the blogs or on the main SAS4Kids blogpost qualifies you to win one of the prizes on that blog. If you leave a comment on each stop, you will have earned 17 chances to win a prize, and if you enter a card in the Christmas in July 4 Kids challenge, you will also earn a chance to win one of 8 random prizes there.
**You MUST have an USA mailing address to qualify to win any of the prizes. We apologize to any of our readers outside of the USA, but this is a requirement to win any of the prizes in this blog hop and in the Christmas in July challenge.
**The blog hop will start July 21st at 8:00 a.m. CST and continue until July 31st at midnight CST. When the blog hop is done, all the winners will be drawn randomly from the commenters on each blog and on the main blog, and announced on the SAS4Kids blog on August 4th and on each individual blog. If your name is listed as a winner, you must contact Karen at khasheck@gmail.com BEFORE August 18th at midnight CST with your NAME, EMAIL ADDRESS AND MAILING ADDRESS. If you do not contact Karen before August 18th at midnight CST, your prize will be forfeited.

**The Christmas in July 4 Kids challenge at SAS4Kids will run from July 21st until August 3rd at Noon CST (as is typical of our two week challenges.) You can qualify for one of 8 prizes by entering a Christmas or holiday card appropriate for a child following the rules of all of our challenges found in the page above. The prizes will be awarded by random drawing and announced with the rest of the winners on August 4th on our blog.

We are so happy to have some of the volunteers who collect and distribute cards to our many children’s hospitals as well as some TEAM SAS alumni and previous Top Three winners join the SAS4Kids TEAM SAS in this blog hop!

THE NEXT STOP IS:

My first card uses two digis from Sparkle and Sprinkle - a wreath and a snowman with wreath. I printed one inside the other, coloured the combined images using Promarkers and Spectrum Noir pens, fussy cut and mattered and layered it onto paper from my stash and white card. I then added various coloured Stickles to the wreath.

My second card uses the penguin digi from Fred She Said .

I used it twice, flipping the second one and reducing it slightly in size. After colouring it using Promarkers I added some Stickles to the snow and matted it onto blue card. The paper from my stash was matted and layered onto the same colour card and then white card. The sentiment was cut from red card using the Tattered Lace die season's greetings washing line.

Look for rainbows

I was lucky enough to be asked to be a guest designer for Through The Craft Room Door. I have used Splish Splash digis from Sparkle and Sprinkle and printed them onto the rainbow paper created by using the Toddlers to Teens CD ROM - one of the CDs in From A Man's Point of View collection from My Craft Studio. I then matted this onto rainbow mirri card. The raindrops also from the same mirri card were created from the petals of a sunflower punch. The splatter of water in the bottom right hand corner was made by using a stamen punch.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Lil Patch of Crafty Friends - anything goes
Cute Card Thursday - clean and simple
The Crafter's Cafe - keep it simple
Crafty Girls Creations - anything goes
Scrapbook Stamp Society - anything goes with dies or punches
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - anything goes
Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper - anything goes

Wine friends

The challenge starting this week at Crafting From the Heart is being sponsored by

and

As always the theme for the challenge is anything goes.

For my first card I have used the Sparkle N Sprinkle digi called 'wine friends' and coloured it using Promarkers. I then matted and layered it onto wine coloured core'dinations cardstock and white card. The accompanying sentiment was also matted onto the same coloured cardstock.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Glitter n Sparkle - anything goes
   Creative Fingers - anything goes

   Penny's Paper-Crafty - anything goes
Crafty Gals Corner - anything goes

For my second card I used digi number 15909 (Santa's List) from QKR Stampede and again used Promarkers to colour it. I cut it out using a Spellbinders classic square die and matted and layered it onto red core'dinations cardstock, cut using a Spellbinders scalloped square die, beige core'dinations cardstock and red card. I then attached a silver peel off sentiment.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
   Allsorts - Christmas
   Winter Wonderland - anything Christmas
Craftyhazelnut's Christmas Extra - anything goes
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday - anything goes

M is for ...

This week at Creative Corner we are asking you to use something on your project that begins with the letter of your first name. I have gone a bit overboard with my example - a Magnolia coloured in shades of Magenta and using lots of Matting and layering, each layer being cut out using a Spellbinders Majestic labels twentyfive die.
I began by cutting out magenta mirri card and matting this onto tissue paper which I had received as wrapping for a bunch of flowers and matting this onto off white hammered card. The next layer consisted of a paler mirri card matted onto darker tissue paper, obtained from the same bunch of flowers. The final layer was the digi stamp from Sparkle and Sprinkle. This was coloured using Promarkers and the edges dusted with distress ink. I finally added a sentiment which was matted onto the paler mirri card.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:
ABC - J is for just as you like
Little Claire's Designs - lots of layers
Wednesday Creative Inspirations - lots of layers
Stamping Sensations - use those dies and/or punches
   Digi Sketch - floral
   Fab'n'Funky - flower power
Party Time Tuesdays - die cut
   Allsorts - spring blossoms
In the Pink - digital delight
   Catch the Bug - springtime
