Popcorn romance

The challenge beginning at Crafty Cardmakers today has the theme love and romance.
I matted deep pink paper onto white card and added a pale strip of pink down the left hand side. The image from the romance set of Popcorn the bear stamps was coloured using Promarkers. After cutting it out using a Tattered |Lace velvet Lace mini ruffle square die I coloured the edge and then embossed the ruffle. The sentiment and little hearts were stamped  using stamps from the same romance set and I cut these out using a tattered lace mini ruffle rectangle die and treated the edges in the same way as those of the main image. Finally I glued three red gem hearts to the pale pink strip.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
Crafty Friends - love is in the air

Thank you Popcorn

The theme for the new challenge stating today at Send A Smile 4 Kids has the twist option of thank you cards so I have made use of another Popcorn the bear stamp. This one is from the Thanks a bunch set. I coloured it using Promarkers and after running a Distress Ink pad round the edges I wrapped satin ribbon round the left hand side. I then matted it onto white card, added a bow and a thank you greeting cut from core'dinations card using dies from Tattered Lace's wedding words set.

For the first challenge of 2018 at Send A Smile 4 Kids the theme is anything goes for kids along with Valentine for kids.
I have dug out my Popcorn the Bear stamps and intend to give them a fresh airing. This is the first of these and is from the romance set. I coloured it using Promarkers and then wrapped satin ribbon round two opposite corners before matting and layering it onto light brown card, dark brown core'dinations cardstock and white card. I stamped the sentiment onto light brown card, cut each word out and matted them onto a strip of dark brown core'dinations cardstock.

Popcorn with balloons

For this fortnight Send A Smile 4 Kids would like to see celebration cards for their challenge. The sponsor for this challenge is Repeat Impressions who are offering a $15 gift certificate as their prize.
I have chosen to celebrate a birthday and have used a long forgotten Popcorn the Bear stamp called smile. After colouring it using Promarkers I matted it onto card using a punch to round the corners of both the image and the mat.
The design paper was printed from the accompanying CD ROM from Crafter's Companion and after matting this onto card I wrapped two vertical strips of satin ribbon round it before matting it onto white card. Again a punch was used to round all the corners.
I finished the card with a stamp of Popcorn's little duck friend, cutting this out using a Spellbinder's die and matting it onto card.

Love

Well another challenge begins at Crafty Cardmakers today and the theme this time is Love, love, love.
I used a stamp from the Platinum Popcorn the Bear set called perfect couple and coloured it using Promarkers. After cutting it out I dusted the edges using distress ink and then matted it onto core'dinations cardstock. The paper I used for the background I printed from a CD ROM a few years ago and it has been lying in my stash ever since, I think it was from the CD ROM which complimented the stamp set. I matted and layered this onto core'dinations cardstock and white card.

Surprise!

Here is another card with the lovable Popcorn the bear, again taken from the romance set from Crafter's Companion.
I wrapped red ribbon round the designer paper which I have had in my stash for some years now! This was matted and layered onto red mirri card and white card. The Popcorn image was coloured using Promarkers and distress ink was applied to the edges. I matted this onto some more red mirri card, added three pink pearls and attached it to the card. Three roses from Wild Orchid Crafts together with three punched leaves and a large bow made from heart design ribbon were then added.

Taking the same image (from the romance set of Popcorn the Bear from Crafter's Companion) as my previous post and using a different colourway I have created a CAS card. The image is again coloured using Promarkers and the surround is red mirri card. The card is completed with red peel offs.

Hearts

Who doesn't love a teddy? So here is a card with a teddy and hearts.
I formed a square card and then scored and folded one half of the card to form the easel mechanism. On each of the rectangles formed on the front of the card and on the square base of the card I matted and layered pink heart design paper and red mirri card.
I cut a strip of red mirri card using Spellbinders edgeabilities dies and matted it onto pink core'dinations cardstock to form a stop for the easel. A mini heart was stuck in each corner and a red bow in one.
I cut a heart out of red mirri card using the template I had created for one of my earlier posts and fixed this to the lower fold of the easel. I made another template of a slightly smaller heart and used this to cut a heart out of pink core'dinations cardstock. This I attached to the red heart. A mini heart and a bow were fixed to the bottom of the pink heart.
The stamped image is from Crafter's Companion romance set of Popcorn the Bear stamps and I coloured it using Promarkers. I then cut it out, shaped it slightly and fixed it with glue gel to the pink heart.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:
   Crafter's Companion - hearts

Frosty

The image for this Christmas card is from Crafter's Companion Popcorn the Bear collection. Having coloured it using Promarkers I cut around the image, added frostings to the hats and glitter to the shadows on the snowman.
I then embossed white card using the Darice snowflake background folder from Crafter's Companion.and applied glitter to the snowflakes on this. A ribbon was tied round the left hand side before attaching it to the base card. The cut out image was then fixed to the card with glue gel having shaped it a little.

Best dad

A letter for Dad

This image reminds me of my father as he got older, sitting on a bench in the sun potting up plants.
I began by stamping the flower from Crafter's Companion UK Popcorn the Bear Father's Day set. This was then masked off and the main picture was then stamped and all coloured using Promarkers. The image was then die cut using a Spellbinders Postage Stamp die and the edges distressed with Tim Holtz Distress inks.
Core'dinations card stock from the Neutrals range was embossed using one of Crafter's Companion Beatrix Potter embossing folders and sanded. The mini envelopes were made from backing paper taken from Crafter's Companion Popcorn the Bear triple CD rom. Finally the words "Best" and "Dad" were stamped onto card and partially inserted into the envelopes.
