Blaster Meteor (ブラスターメテオ, Burasutā Meteo)^[9][7] is an Energy Sphere used by Broly in his Legendary Super Saiyan form. It is a part of the Meteor Attacks.

Overview[]

First, the user forms an Energy Shield around his body. Then, he brings his hands apart to each side and releases many powerful energy blasts that home in on the target, inflicting a massive amount of damage.

Usage[]

During the Tournament of Power, Kale uses this technique while in her Legendary Super Saiyan form. Her usage of the attack apparently was more severe than with Broly's, as she was shown emitting steam during the cooldown period. She demonstrated a similar use of the ability when fighting Cabba before the formal start of the tournament.

In Dragon Ball GT, Nuova Shenron uses this attack during his battle against Goku.^[10]

Film Appearances[]

In Dragon Ball Z: Broly - The Legendary Super Saiyan, Broly uses this attack in order to burn off the excess energy he built up on New Planet Vegeta. This likewise resulted in the destruction of a large portion of the planet, including the palace and Paragus' Spaceship and most of Paragus' followers. Afterwards, he ends up panting in place as his aura dissipates, apparently out of slight exhaustion over having to vent the excess energy before turning his attention to Goku and Gohan.

In Dragon Ball Super: Broly, after awakening his Super Saiyan form, Broly, partly out of despair over the then-recent death of his father, uses this technique against Super Saiyan Blue Goku, bombarding the heated battleground. Goku ultimately parried the attacks, albeit with significant enough effort that he was forced to lose his shirt in the process, before Broly followed up with a much larger Ki attack.

Similar Techniques[]

Vegeta uses a similar attack against Frieza on Namek.

During the Cell Games Saga, Super Saiyan 2 Gohan uses a similar attack against the Cell Juniors.

In Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods, God of Destruction Beerus uses a similar technique during his fight with Goku in the underground lake called God of Destruction's Wrath, though it lacks Blaster Meteor's homing effect.

In Supersonic Warriors 2, it is named Blaster Meteor where it is Broly's Ultimate Blast.

In Budokai Tenkaichi 3, Nuova Shenron's Ultimate Blast is also called "Blaster Meteor", with several notable differences: after forming an energy aura around his body, Nuova Shenron creates a sun-like energy sphere and sends it up into the air. Then, he scatters the smaller fireballs at his opponent, inflicting a great amount of damage.

In Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit, although the attack itself does not appear it was indirectly referenced in both an unlockable scene and the ending of the game in Broly's story mode, both instances having Broly saying "My Ki is rising... overflowing...!" before promptly powering up.

In Attack of the Saiyans, it is named Blaster Burst.

In Battle of Z, it is named Burst Eraser.

In Xenoverse, it is named Blaster Meteor and is Broly's Evasive Skill. It can be obtained by the Future Warrior as a reward in the Parallel Quest "Power Berserkers".

In Extreme Butōden, it is named Power... Surging Power! and is Broly's Final Ultimate Combo. The combo must be performed in the air and requires 200% SG to use.

In Dragon Ball Fusions, Blaster Meteor appears as a Special Move learned by Legendary Super Saiyan Broly after reaching Level 53 and Super Saiyan 3 Broly after reaching Level 70. It can also be used by the Great Ape Broly boss. It can also be acquired from Broly by his EX-Fusions, Karoly and Karoly Black. It can also be learned by Nenjo (Level 37), Nox (Level 33), and Zemma (Level 25). Tekka can access it by performing EX-Fusion with any Blaster Meteor user including either of Broly's playable forms.

In Xenoverse 2, Blaster Meteor returns as Broly's Evasive Skill which the Future Warrior can learn by completing the first lesson of Broly's Training. As part of the Extra Pack 3 DLC, Kefla uses it as her default Evasive Skill, a technique which she inherited from Kale. As part of the Future Saga Chapter 1 DLC, it is Broly (Restrained)'s Evasive Skill. Mira also uses the skill during the story mission "Bardock, the Masked Man".

In Dokkan Battle, Blaster Meteor appears as a Super Attack for the Dragon Ball Super incarnation of Super Saiyan Broly, and an Ultra Super Attack for Legendary Super Saiyan Broly.

In FighterZ, it is named Meteor Shower and is one of Broly (DBS)'s moves. Broly transforms into his Super Saiyan form when he uses the technique.

In Dragon Ball Heroes, it is named Blaster Meteor where it was added in Big Bang Mission 6 as one of the Super Attacks of Broly in his Super Full Power Saiyan 4 Limit Breaker form.

In Sparking! Zero, it is named Berserk Blaster where it is Super Saiyan Berserk Kale's Ultimate Blast.

Trivia[]

• Broly (DBS) utilizes this technique in his Super Saiyan form rather than his Legendary Super Saiyan form, like Kale and Broly (DBZ) do.
• Although the Japanese version makes clear that the attack was because Broly's ki was coming close to overloading him otherwise, the English dub implies that the attack had elements of Saiyan Power mixed into it due to his mentioning that he was becoming much stronger.
