"The Gathering" is a two-part episode of Gargoyles. It aired on April 29 - 30, 1996.

Plot[]

Part 1[]

Oberon recalls his children to Avalon, but Puck has other plans. Meanwhile, Fox and Xanatos are expecting their first baby with Owen, Anastasia, Halcyon Renard and Preston Vogel all present, when Oberon arrives and puts the entire city to sleep. Goliath, Angela, Bronx and Elisa finally return home from their world tour.

Part 2[]

The Gargoyles and Xanatos' resources defend the castle against Oberon's onslaught, and it is discovered that Anastasia is Queen Titania, which marks potential for their son Alexander to hold magic, and they agree against Fox or Xanatos' wishes to take him to Avalon for magical training.

• Anastasia Renard is revealed to be Queen Titania.
  • This explains her oddly youthful appearance.
• Alexander Fox Xanatos is born.
  • His name comes from Alexander the Great, showing the great future his parents hope for him.
• Goliath, Elisa, Angela and Bronx finally return to New York.
• David Xanatos and Fox both reform.
• Owen Burnett is revealed to be the alter-ego of Puck.
• Fox is revealed to harbour some magical powers.
• Puck is forever banished from Avalon and becomes Alexander's magic tutor, unable to use his powers unless training or protecting him.
