"Sister Swim" is the second segment of the fifth episode of the Disney Channel animated series StuGo.
Synopsis[]
Perturbing Porpoise! When the kids encounter a dolphin, everyone is excited — except Merian.
Plot[]
Merian is teaching the other kids yoga, while also shouting at the sun, when they suddenly spot a dolphin. The kids are excited, but are shocked when it chitters "Merian!" at them. Merian reveals that the dolphin is Tara, her adopted dolphin sister. Her parents are well acclaimed marine biologists who took Tara in and raised her as another sibling for her. While Merian and Tara bonded, Merian felt inferior to Tara mainly because people were more impressed with how intelligent Tara is, rather than the fact that Merian learned to speak fluent "dolfish". Merian attempts to send Tara home, but Pliny invites her stay with them.
Tara proves to not just be incredibly intelligent, but also more popular with everyone on the island, including Dr. Lullah when Tara unintentionally aids in one of her experiments. During a game of truth or dare, Tara attempts to play a video of her and Merian performing the "sister swim" routine, but Merian refuses. Everyone suggests that Merian and Tara instead perform it live, with the former agreeing to reluctantly. The sister swim does not go smoothly, primarily due to Merian being angry at Tara, and it ends with the two harming themselves. Merian finally blows up at Tara, shouting the harmful insult that they are not real sisters and leaves.
Merian returns to the dorms and begins to watch the rest of the footage, which depicts Merian being ignored, but it is quickly followed by footage of her and Tara getting along. She rushes back to the beach to apologize to Tara, only to encounter two ichthyosaurs, which Chip and Pliny had earlier argued about. Merian is rescued by Tara and together the two perform the sister swim, this time flawlessly. The act ends with the two performing a loud dolphin screech which blows up the ichthyosaurs, much to Chip's disappointment. Merian apologizes to Tara for her outburst and asks that she stay with them for one more day, which Tara squeaks in agreement.

- Merian is revealed to be the daughter of famous marine biologists.
- Dr. Lullah is revealed to have a sister who, based on her comments, she doesn't talk to very often.
- This episode features Larry getting a nosebleed.
- Tara is voiced by Kaitlyn Robrock, the current voice of Minnie Mouse.
- The idea of a dolphin being an adopted sibling is not so ridiculous. Dolphins are supremely intelligent animals that are capable of forming close kinships with humans.
