"Let's Sea What You've Got" is the first segment of the twentieth episode of the Disney Channel animated series Hamster & Gretel.

Synopsis[]

Gretel and Bailey experiment with Gretel's powers at the beach.

Plot[]

En route to the Lovely Lagoon, Gretel and Bailey discuss experimenting with Gretel's superhero abilities in order to discover new powers. Kevin advises them against this as he believes this to be an irresponsible use of superpowers. However, Gretel and Bailey ignore his warnings and decide to search for new powers regardless. The girls then decide to swim in the lagoon to find that the water is too cold, prompting Gretel to use her heat vision to raise the temperature of the water, inadvertently creating the perfect conditions for malodorous stench moss to grow and take over the lagoon. Fortunately, Bailey finds that New Zealand spotted kelp slugs eat moss, with Gretel flying to New Zealand to retrieve them. The slugs then begin to reproduce rapidly and advance towards the beachgoers. In response, the girls find that Japanese sea urchins eat sea slugs and Gretel retrieves them, only for the sea urchins to invade the beach as well.

With no other option, the girls resort to seeking help from Kevin, who is having a difficult time securing a parking space. He learns of the girls' situation through an impromptu interview by Veronica Hill and informs the girls that they must find a way to rid the beach of the sea urchins. Hamster resolves the issue by retrieving the Giant Otter, who then eats the sea urchins. Kevin attempts to use this experience as a lesson to Gretel and Bailey that they must use superpowers responsibly, only for the minivan to be towed away due to Kevin parking it illegally.

Trivia[]

  • The title of this episode is a play on the phrase "Let's see what you've got." It can be used as an alternative to the phrase "show me what you've got" and is typically said as a request for someone to demonstrate what they can do.
  • Bailey shows a frog and a picture of a prince while trying find what other powers Gretel got, the prince and the frog is a reference to Prince Naveen from The Princess and the Frog.
  • Kevin breaks the fourth wall when he mentions that the Giant Otter is from "earlier in the season."
