Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar is an Indiana Jones themed restaurant at Disney Springs at Walt Disney World. It is based around Indiana Jones's pilot Jock Lindsey, a minor character from Raiders of the Lost Ark, and serves as a pilot bar run by him. Many items on the menu have names inspired by the film series.

History[]

Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar opened in The Landing at Downtown Disney on September 22, 2015, a week before Downtown Disney would officially be rechristened as Disney Springs. The Landing was previously known as Pleasure Island from 1989 to 2008, with Jock Lindsey's occupying the space previously occupied by the Rock 'n' Roll Beach Club.

Fictional backstory[]

While helping Indiana Jones on his search for the Fountain of Youth, the two traveled through Florida on their quest, including a stop at Saint Augustine's Fountain of Youth roadside attraction, which Doctor Jones was not too pleased by. During one of these flights, the two flew over the clear waters of Disney Springs, which Jock found so beautiful that he decided to eventually build a home there, later opening his Hangar Bar there in 1955.
