James "Jim" Baxter is a British animator. He formerly worked for Walt Disney Animation Studios, first animating Jessica Rabbit, but left in 1995 after working on The Hunchback of Notre Dame to work for DreamWorks. However, he has recently provided additional character animation for the intro sequence and an episode of Gravity Falls. In 2018, Baxter won the Winsor McCay Award at the 2018 Annie Awards, and a year later, he, alongside Sandro Cleuzo and Chris Sauve, won the award for Character Animation in the Live Action Production for the film Mary Poppins Returns.
