"Dumb Luck" is the seventy-sixth episode and the eighteenth episode in Season 4 of Mickey Mouse. It premiered on June 8, 2018.
Synopsis[]
Mickey desperately searches for a good luck charm after being cursed with seven years of bad luck.
Plot[]
The episode begins with Mickey checking himself at a mirror while Goofy plays with Pluto around the house. While the dogs play however, they end up accidentally shattering Mickey's mirror. Goofy points out that a broken mirror means seven years of bad luck and Mickey is cursed. Mickey, however, calls Goofy's logic baloney before slipping on a banana peel out the window and getting run over by a lawnmower. He still refuses to believe Goofy and proceeds to go on with his day. As Mickey's life continues, however, bad things continually happen to him, such as Minnie breaking up with him, getting continuously struck with lightning, having his house repossessed, receiving a parking ticket, getting eaten by an orca, etc. Mickey finally admits to Goofy that he is cursed and begs him for help. Goofy suggests that Mickey find a good luck charm to counter the bad luck, and points out his lucky rabbit's foot as an example. Mickey attempts to get it, but Goofy tells him that he'll have to find his own good luck charm. Mickey then proceeds to find his own lucky charm, such as a four-leaf clover, a horseshoe, and a ladybug, only to get beaten up for taking them. Mickey then finally finds a penny on the road and dodges traffic trying to get it. As soon as Mickey picks up the penny, good things begin happening to him, such as lightning striking people around him, a banana peel walking out of his way, and Minnie asking Mickey to get back together. Mickey tells Goofy about his lucky penny, and Goofy replies that Mickey will have to find another penny every day for the next seven years, much to Mickey's dismay, as the episode ends.
