Flow, also known as Primal, is a stage that appears in Dead or Alive 5.
Story[]
Hitomi fights Ayane here while preparing for the fifth tournament. Zack, while recruiting for the tournament fights Jann here.
Description[]
Flow[]
At its core, this stage is a basic four-sided ring. Fights take place on a shabby-looking platform made out of broken wood planks with waist-high barriers around the sides. The platform is inside a cave with tropical plantlife and a rapid-fast river flowing under and around said platform.
If the Danger Zone trigger is hit (located on one of the barriers) the platform would come loose and start flowing downriver, towards the cave's mouth which quickly leads into a waterfall. Luckily for the fighters, the platform is too big to pass through all the rocks in the way and becomes stuck before it can fall over the edge, half-in and half-out. There is a bright blue sky and one can see that the waterfall is in a big arch and you can see the other side from a distance. It's possible that this stage is based on the real-life Niagara Falls, especially the Horseshoe Falls.
Primal[]
The stage acts as the base of the Flow stage. It is a small area within a rain forest. These is a small body of water which acts as a slippery surface. Beautiful and vivid wildlife surround the land, such as a reptiles and monkeys. The large snake is mainly for aesthetics, but knocking an opponent off of it will put them in a stunned state.
If players fight on the Flow stage first, the Primal stage can only be reached if an opponent is knocked off of the raft. Only then will fighting commence. The stage can also be selected on its own.
