Anne was a former mistress to Fame Douglas, who first appeared during Helena Douglas's ending movie in Dead or Alive 4. Thought to be Fame's second lover out of six known women, Anne was killed by gunshot at an unknown point in time by an unidentified woman.

History[]

Very little is known about Anne, other than her romantic involvement with Fame and her death. She had been killed because she, alongside Miyako, planned to despoil the DOATEC USA's hegemony, although her murderer is still unconfirmed.

During Helena's ending, she has a few flashbacks, one of them being Anne being shot through the head with a handgun by a shadowed-out woman. This means that Helena could have witnessed Anne's death, either because Helena herself was the murderer, or was there at that moment. This could also mean that Helena knew Anne, and that Anne was still involved with the Douglas family in some way, even after Fame had more affairs with other women.

Appearance[]

Anne is Caucasian with a slightly tanned skin tone, an oval face, and dark eyes. Her layered hair is dark brown and extends to her shoulders. In Dead or Alive 4, she is seen wearing red lipstick and a black tank top with a white lace trim.

Etymology[]

The name Anne is the French form of Anna, and is rooted in the old Hebrew name חַנָּה (Channah) which means "favor" or "grace."

Trivia[]

• On his Facebook page, Itagaki elaborated on the scene in Helena's ending, explaining that Anne had conspired with Miyako to despoil the hegemony of DOATEC USA, and that this was also the reason Anne had been killed. However, he refused to give the identity of her killer, stating that he didn't wish to ruin dreams.^[1]
  • This element was eventually confirmed somewhat in the Library section of Dead or Alive 6 by mentioning that she may have been involved in Fame's murder, although it leaves out Miyako's involvement in the conspiracy. It is also implied that a main motivator was jealousy as a result of Fame's multiple lovers.
