Adventures of Superman #525 is an issue of the series Adventures of Superman (Volume 1) with a cover date of July, 1995.

Synopsis for "Hard Decisions"

Two stern looking women burst into S.T.A.R. Labs, demanding to take their employer Lex Luthor into custody. Dr. Kitty Faulkner examines the paperwork and finds that she is legally obligated to oblige them. At their command, several scientists prepare to offload Luthor's comatose body into a mobile life-support unit.

Elsewhere, Superman continues in his quest to find and destroy all of Conduit's Pipeline safe houses. After dismantling one facility he meets back up with his parents who are still on the road. The Kents soon come upon Lois Lane who has been trailing behind them on the highway. Superman is elated to see her, but confesses that he is not ready to resume his dual identity as Clark Kent. He feels that his double life has already cost too many lives.

Lois decides to teach Superman a lesson. She dares him to go into a small town coffee house in full costume and purchase a cup of coffee. Superman isn't quite sure what her purpose behind this task is, but he does so, and finds that the local citizens are very put off by his presence. He now understands the lesson that Lois was trying to teach him -- that his life as Clark Kent is just as important, if not more so, as his life as Superman.
