- Shield born from the soul of the great grey wolf Sif, guardian of the grave of the Abysswalker Knight Artorias.
- Boasts consistent defense and divine protection against various status effects.

The Greatshield of Artorias can be created at the Giant Blacksmith in Anor Londo with a +10 Shield, the Soul of Sif and 5,000 souls.
Characteristics[]
The Greatshield of Artorias is arguably one of the best greatshields in the game, with the highest stability of any non-crystal shield combined with complete status resistance.
However, it has underwhelming magic and lightning defenses and is the fourth heaviest shield in the game.

Along with Physical and Elemental damage reduction, weapons also have hidden stats that reduce the amount of status build-up while blocking.

Trivia[]
- When summoned as a phantom the shield's texture will not display properly. It will instead be a tiling of the texture for the Tower Shield.
