A Crafty Life Is A Happy Life

For the month of March I am doing a series on my YouTube Channel called Color March Happy (#ColorMarchHappy2022) where I am posting a new coloring video every day.

I am hoping to get all the images that I color onto cards quickly but we'll see how that works. 😉

On Day 1, I colored up a freebie digital stamp from Adventures In Coloring with Amy Young. I thought this image was the perfect image to start my coloring series with!

Nothing like a little "reality" as while I was coloring this fun image I got the dreaded copic blob. I decided to leave it in the video as sometimes that is just what happens. I used the sentiment to cover up the blob on my card.

Check out the coloring video HERE!!

Thanks for stopping by and have a super crafty day!!

Try It Out Tuesday #4

For Susana's stores DT challenge this week we were to create a Valentine Card using a stamp from Susana's store that isn't necessarily Valentine-ish. Extra credit if we use scrappers floss-you know I love extra credit!! (ACK!! But then I got my card done and realized I had forgotten it, drat!)
Be sure to check out the store blog, Follow Your Heart, to see all the other DT members cards.
And be sure to check out Susana's Store for lots of fun!! Give-aways, new products, brand new stamp lines coming soon and all kinds of goodies!!
I had lots of ideas for this challenge as really so many of the stamps in Susana's store are so versatile but finally settled on Fairy Kids With Birds. To me it had that vintage type Valentine feel to it, although I don't do "vintage" well so here's my version~~

I "popped" two of the flowers up for some dimension.

Here you can see the shimmerz and stickles!

Ignore my thumb....stickles were still wet so I had to hold it to photograph it! LOL!

We'd love to have you play along! Just leave a comment with a link to your creation or if you upload it to SCS or PCP, please use the keyword TIOT4.

Supplies:
card size: 5 1/2/x/4 1/4

paper: Georgia Pacific, cardstock,
ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Palette French Lilac

Happy Holidays

Remember this post? Well tonight I came in my stamp area to work on some things and that little snowman just called to me and begged me to ink him up. LOL!

I wanted him to have lots of texture so I first colored him with prismacolors, then added fun flock to his hat, glitter to his body and diamond dust to the ground. The paper is some I had in my scrap pile. Sentiment is from TAC's Just for you set and the sketch is SC199--love this sketch!!

The inside and envelope were stamped with a little snowman from TAC's mini occasions set.

Tilda with baby

I was tickled to have Krista swap images with me. She sent me some Magnolias and I sent her some bellas. Fun for both of us.
This image of Tilda with the baby is just so darn cute, so I choose her to work with first. But I went backwards from my normal thought process on a card and I struggled with this. Normally I pick my stamp/image, then my papers and then the sketch or design of the card.
Well for this image I colored her first and it just threw me off. Finally after debating and debating I was able to complete it. It's not my favorite card by a long shot but it's done.
I colored Tilda and the baby with prismacolors and OMS. Then I added stickles to Tilda's wings. The paper is TAC's Mia's Cottage (seems to be my fav at the moment) and I used my brand new SU scallop border punch!
The little sparkly flowers came with a Hero Arts stamp set. The stamps used on the inside and envelope are retired TAC ones.
Thanks again, Krista for sending me such fun images!
