I'm entering this into the current challenge at 613 Avenue Create which is Anything Goes with the option of paper piecing.

Hope you have a simply wonderful day full of lots of smiles and love! thanks for stopping by!

Always thinking of you

This card took many interesting turns as it was being created, LOL! Do any of you have a vision of a card and then when you go to create it the process just goes a totally different direction? That's this card in a nutshell! Regardless it was fun to create!

The flower has Wink of Stella pen all over it but it doesn't show up well in the photo.

I'm entering this card into my yahoo group's Friday Challenge #14-flowers and also into the Sweet Sunday Sketch #277

We are enjoying Fluffy so much! I never dreamed a lizard would be so entertaining! He's starting his first shed since we've had him and it's so neat to see the fresh skin emerge from under the dull skin.

Have a happy day!

You make me happy!

Way back in November I challenged myself to use up 10 6x6 paper pads so that I could get a new one. I have been good and not bought any new ones but I've only finished off 1 6x6 paper pad. I decided I wanted to work on this a bit more diligently so I'm determined to finish off my Basic Grey Lemonade pad so be prepared to see several cards all with the same colors/paper!!

I used my new Day Off Anya stamp from The Greeting Farm. I thought it was appropriate since I only seem to find energy to craft on my days off anymore. LOL! Her hair really threw me as to how to color it so I peeked at The Greeting Farm site and CASE'd how Alyce had colored it.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges~

Thanks for stopping by!! ohhh I almost forgot, I have to share our new pet-Fluffy! He/she is a baby bearded dragon and oh my are we smitten with Fluffy! Who knew a lizard could be so fun!!

Baseball Love

My goodness, it has been forever since I've created. Okay, not forever but two weeks which equals forever in my world. Last week was the kids spring break so I spent time with them vs. crafting. I must say we had a great time and one of the highlights was feeding alligators at the zoo!

Does anyone else feel "rusty" at coloring/putting together a card after they've taken time off? I sure do but figured I'd just dive in!

Many of my friends are excited for baseball season so I chose to color up the fun Baseball Love from Whimsy Stamps!

I'm entering this into the following challenges~

You Rock!

Hello there!! Today I have a card to share that was so much fun to make!!

First I colored up the newly released, Number One from the Art by Mi Ran collection at Whimsy Stamps. I used my copics and really had fun giving her jeans texture. I had posted these photos on Instagram and Facebook and then realized several people didn't know how to do this technique so I thought I'd just explain as it's a really fun and easy technique to use!

Once you have the area colored that you want to add texture, in this case the jeans, you'll need some colorless blender and some fabric, in this case a swatch of denim. (I would do this technique before you color around the area you're adding texture to so that it doesn't accidentally get onto other colored areas)

I didn't get photos of the next step but it's super easy. Just put a little of the colorless blender onto the fabric/denim and then set it onto your colored area. I push it down for a few seconds and then remove. Let it dry and voila', instant texture.

You can experiment with different fabrics to achieve different results. I have used an old towel for a "fuzzy" texture on an animal before. The possibilities are endless!!

Here's the end result of the jeans~

To finish my card I had fun with the Whimsy stamp set, Distressed Backgrounds and Ink Splats. To finish it off I used my favorite Whimsy sentiment set, Everyday Moments.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges~

A real quick post as I need to get myself moving to get ready for work!

I made this for the Friday Challenge #8 in my yahoo group which was to use red and green.

Here's a fun card I made last night using one of the latest releases from Whimsy Stamps, Jingle Bell Owl by Meljen's Designs. I also used the new Whimsy Shapeology Die, Jingle Bells.

I had lots of fun adding sparkle...loving my new Wink Of Stella brush markers--I used the silver on the bells on the owl.

Have a fabulous weekend!!! and thanks for stopping by!

Denise

It's been a very exciting day around here but I still found time to squeeze in some crafty time!!

It was exciting because Sam got a new-to-him car. Normally he buys vehicles that are cheaper, just a means to get from point A to point B but since he'll be driving a lot with the new job he got a nicer car and one good on gas!! Only one more week and he'll be starting the railroad job.

Anyway, back to the crafting. This is for another one of the Friday Challenges in my yahoo group. This is Challenge #5- Use black on your creation.

I love this newer image, Denise by Saturated Canary but man, I really challenged myself in the coloring with the shades of pinks and gray's...hopefully I pulled it off!!

I'm also entering this card into the following challenges~

Friends Warm the Heart

If you know me at all you know that I don't do well at making Christmas cards. I don't know why--maybe all the pressure to make them or just that there's so many of them that you need??  So when I saw the Friday Challenge (that I put out there on one of my yahoo groups) #4 was to use a snowman, I admit it, I groaned. LOL! But I do better at winter cards so after I groaned, I smiled a little.

I love snowmen though and normally in January I have a whole collection of them that I pull out and put on display.  So I figured this year I would try to embrace more winter cards and maybe even a few Christmas cards!!

I don't think this cute little Pure Innocence Girl from MFT has ever been used so I had to fix that!!

I used the current sketch from Creative Knockouts~

Hope you have a wonderful day!! and thanks for stopping by!

If all else fails, add pink, sparkle and a butterfly!

Shirley

When I lived in El Paso, TX I was in an amazing bible study group and there was one lady that really touched my heart, Shirley. She has since passed away but I think of her often.

When I saw this digi by Mo Manning named Shirley, I knew I had to get it--just because of the name. Silly I know but it made me smile to think of Shirley and her big personality and kind heart.

I'm also playing along with another of the Friday Challenges for the yahoo group I'm in--this one is Challenge #3- use your favorite color. My favorite color is pink so this has lots of pink goodness in it!

This card just makes me smile~~hope it does you too!!

If all else fails, add pink, sparkle and a butterfly!

Hoppy Birthday, Zoe!

I decided to play along with another one of the Friday Challenges that I give to one of my yahoo groups each week. You can see the first card-HERE!

Today I'm working on Challenge #2- Use a critter!  I thought the newly released Hoppy Birthday, Zoe! by Crissy Armstrong for Whimsy Stamps would be perfect!

Normally I color my image first and then choose my designer papers but I'm really trying to use up a few 6x6 paper pads so I chose my papers first for this card and then colored my image. I must say I found it very challenging, LOL, but fun! (and the balloon is not red, it's really more of a magenta that matches the paper but the camera didn't like it!)

I'm entering this card into the following challenges~

Hope your week is off to a great start! Take a moment to enjoy the little things! and thanks for stopping by!

Social Teen Thinking

In one of my yahoo groups I have been putting out a "Friday Challenge" since the beginning of the year. These have been really simple, easy challenges just to get the mojo flowing for the ladies of the group.

We are on week 30 and I haven't played along at all so I figured I better change that and dive in!

So I started at the top with Challenge 1- Use a circle and a square.

I know it's a simple card but I adore how it came out! I am loving my SU Banner Punch and Banner Blast stamp set! Can't wait to order the new stamp set from the new SU catalog--along with TONS of other goodies!! Have you seen the new catalog?? it's amazing!! Come on June 2nd so we can order!!
