Plants are my Therapy

Krista Smith recently gave away some freebies and this was one of them. I do love coloring up these digis so much!!

The card is pretty simple so that the image can shine. I liked the darker background papers to really let the image be seen.

I put the sentiment on the inside. I was surprised that I don't have many plant/garden type sentiments. Might need to change that!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super day!

Exciting news!! Krista just opened a SHOP in her Patreon that anyone can shop!! Grab up some of her amazing digis and if you become a member of her Patreon there are perks for that too!! Check it out!!

Besties

I've been wanting to expand my coloring of skin so today I colored up the digital stamp, Besties, from Sweet November Stamps and tried out a new skin tone. I still need practice but I do like how it turned out.

I'm really enjoying the process of alcohol markers and colored pencils. I feel I'm getting more of the contrast, shading that I want. I'm excited to keep practicing at it!

Have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!

Robin and Baskin

Have you seen the new Sweet November Release? Oh my goodness!! It is simply amazing! Puppy Love is definitely an appropriate name as I'm in love with all the sweet digis!! You can only get these digis at 7 Kids Craft Store so while you're there, take a looksie around as I know there's lots of fun stuff that needs a home! hehe!

If you want to see some amazing cards using these great digis, head on over to the artists blog, Amy Young, she is AMAZING (click here and here to see some cards with Puppy Love) ! She also has a Facebook page where she does live coloring and it is so neat to watch them bring stamps to life!

For my first card using this amazing release I decided to color up Robin and Baskin. Doesn't Baskin look so protective of sweet Robin?

I tried a few new things with my coloring on this one. First I tried new paper, Neenah Solar White 80 lb. I liked it because it went through my printer easily but I found it bleeds fairly easy the more you layer. I'll keep working with it and see if I like it better as I get use to it. I did like how the prismacolor pencils worked on this paper though.

I made a little pattern on Robin's shirt with my colorless blender. I like the effect it had. I tried to add some texture to Baskin. I need to practice some more but I think it turned out pretty decent. I also wanted the white on Baskin to stand out so I added a little darker color around them. At first I didn't like it but it's growing on me.

I left it simple so the image could stand out. Can't wait to color up more from this fun release!

Have a fabulous day!

You had me at meow!

I bought this stamp set, Newton's Sweetheart, awhile ago and realized I had never inked it up! I decided to get it inky today!! Love these cute cats!! And such fun sentiments in this set too!!

After I colored my image with my copics I worked on figuring out a layout. I decided to use my MFT Blueprints 24 which made it easy to put the card together.

I found my designer series papers and then just went to town putting the card together. I had to giggle as I fussy cut the cute cats out and then realized I had the dies for this set. LOL! Next time!

One Big Meaning Thank you Cards

A friend of mine has recently gone through some very trying times and I wanted to help her but didn't know how. I finally decided that I could help her by doing something that I enjoy~making cards!! I knew she'd need some thank you cards so that's what I made her!

They are all simple, easy designs but I think the message will come across in all of them. I hope they help my friend smile each time she writes a thank you to someone! These are all the cards I made with a retired SU stamp set, One Big Meaning.

I'll share more of the thank you cards I've made for my friend soon! Thanks for stopping by!! Have a happy day!

Ellie with Crutches

I just had to get this digi stamp, Ellie with Crutches, from The Paper Nest Dolls because it seemed appropriate with my current situation, although I don't have my arm in a splint, thank goodness!!

I thought it would make a cute get well card! I keep thinking she is some sort of supergirl though because I would not be able to manage crutches with just one arm!! Plus she looks way too cute, yup, she's a supergirl!!

I used a sketch from SCS, SC665~

Thanks so much for stopping by! I think this will be my last card for awhile because it really is hard for me to sit in my craft room for too long with the pain from the ankle. Hopefully I'll recover quickly and be back to creating in no time!

Bouquet Teddy

Three years ago I bought my first copic class at Kit & Clowder. Since then I've purchased several classes and I've sort of looked them over but have never set down and really worked on them.

I have also been in awe of the monthly Create & Learn classes that are offered at Kit & Clowder so this month I finally took the plunge and purchased the marker and pencil monthly class.

I also took a huge step and sat down and completed the pencil class! This month used a cute digi from Di's Digi Stamps called Bouquet Teddy. I must say that I really enjoyed the way this class is set up and how it walks you through each step. I am very pleased with the way my Teddy came out. Of course there are things I can see I need to improve on but for a first try, I'll take it! I can't wait to do the marker class next.

I kept the card very simple so that the image would stand out. I must say that I really like the way this turned out!

Have a wonderful day!!

Today is my last official post as a member of The Greeting Farm's design team! It has been such a great year and I'm very thankful for the opportunity I had to be on the team!

Never fear though, I'll still be using these fun stamps as they truly are some of my favorites!

Today I used the super cute and fun Frappi Anya! I wish I looked this good when I had a frappi!

I'm still working on organizing my stamps and redoing my stamp catalog. It is taking me longer than I expected but I'm so pleased with the results so far. Hopefully soon I'll be done and be back to creating more often!!

Countryside Bouquet...again!

I really loved coloring and creating with the digi, Countryside Bouquet from Power Poppy yesterday so I decided to color it up one more time before moving on. I've always loved seeing the same image colored and created with in numerous different ways.

I messed up and colored one of the flowers the wrong color but I think it's still okay. Maybe. I was just having so much fun I got carried away!

I had some help from Alyssa with photographing the card~
