History

2016

• 3 cards were unlockable in Royal Arena during Clash Royale's game launch on 4/1/2016; those being Mortar, Elixir Collector, and Golem.
• On 29/2/2016, the March 2016 Update, added the Royal Giant, Three Musketeers, Dark Prince, and Princess to the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena, and removed the Mortar, Elixir Collector, and Golem from the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena.
• On 3/5/2016, the May 2016 Update, added the Guards to the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena.
• On 19/9/2016, the September 2016 Update, added the Mega Minion to the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena.
• On 25/11/2016, the Elite Barbarians were added to the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena.
• On 30/12/2016, the Electro Wizard was added to the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena.

2018

• On 20/6/2018, the Summer 2018 Update, added the Heal and Royal Ghost to the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena, and removed the Elite Barbarians, Mega Minion, and Electro Wizard from the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena.
• On 7/8/2018, the Royal Recruits were added to the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena.

2019

• On 28/1/2019, the January 2019 Update, added the Mega Knight to the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena, and removed the Royal Ghost from the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena.
• On 4/11/2019, a Balance Update, added the Royal Hogs to the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena, and removed the Heal from the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena.

2021

• On 7/6/2021, the Summer 2021 Update, added the Prince to the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena, and removed the Guards and Princess from the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena.

2022

• On 26/10/2022, the 2022 Quarter 3 Update, added the Balloon to the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena, and removed the Mega Knight from the unlockable cards from the Royal Arena.

2023

• On 19/6/2023, the Card Evolution Update, allowed cards from the Royal Arena to evolve, improving their stats and giving them new abilities.
