History

2016

• 7 cards costed 3 Elixir during Clash Royale's game launch on 4/1/2016; those being Knight, Archers, Bomber, Arrows, Minions, Tombstone, and Rage.
• On 2/2/2016, the February 2016 Update, decreased the Cannon's cost to 3 Elixir (from 6 Elixir).
• On 29/2/2016, the March 2016 Update, added the Ice Wizard and Princess as a 3-Elixir card.
• On 3/5/2016, the May 2016 Update, added the Guards and Miner as a 3-Elixir card.
• On 4/7/2016, the Tournaments Update, decreased the Goblin Barrel's cost to 3 Elixir (from 4 Elixir).
• On 19/9/2016, the September 2016 Update, decreased the Rage's cost to 2 Elixir (from 3 Elixir). It also added the Mega Minion as a 3-Elixir card.
• On 20/10/2016, a Balance Update, decreased the Skeleton Army's cost to 3 Elixir (from 4 Elixir).
• On 11/11/2016, the Tornado was added as a 3-Elixir card.
• On 9/12/2016, the Clone was added as a 3-Elixir card.

2017

• On 13/1/2017, the Dart Goblin was added as a 3-Elixir card.
• On 24/2/2017, the Goblin Gang was added as a 3-Elixir card.
• On 17/3/2017, the Bandit was added as a 3-Elixir card.
• On 28/4/2017, the Heal was added as a 3-Elixir card.
• On 17/10/2017, the Skeleton Barrel was added as a 3-Elixir card.
• On 22/12/2017, the Royal Ghost was added as a 3-Elixir card.

2018

• On 23/3/2018, the Barbarian Barrel was added as a 3-Elixir card.
• On 3/9/2018, a Balance Update, decreased the Barbarian Barrel's cost to 2 Elixir (from 3 Elixir).

2019

• On 7/1/2019, a Balance Update, decreased the Heal’s cost to 1 Elixir (from 3 Elixir).
• On 14/2/2019, the Wall Breakers were added as a 3-Elixir card.
• On 15/4/2019, the April 2019 Update, added the Earthquake as a 3-Elixir card.
• On 2/9/2019, a Balance Update, decreased the Fisherman's cost to 3 Elixir (from 4 Elixir).
• On 7/10/2019, a Balance Update, decreased the Wall Breakers' cost to 2 Elixir (from 3 Elixir).
• On 11/10/2019, the Elixir Golem was added as a 3-Elixir card.

2020

• On 6/1/2020, the Firecracker was added as a 3-Elixir card.
• On 2/3/2020, the Royal Delivery was added as a 3-Elixir card.

2021

• On 30/3/2021, the 2021 Quarter 1 Update, decreased the Bomber's cost to 2 Elixir (from 3 Elixir).

2023

• Starting from 3/4/2023, new temporary 3-Elixir cards appear in Special Challenges.
• On 19/6/2023, the Card Evolution Update, allowed 3-Elixir cards to evolve, improving their stats and giving them new abilities.
• On 2/11/2023, the Little Prince was added as a 3-Elixir card.

2024

• On 6/5/2024, the May 2024 Update, added the Void as a 3-Elixir card.
