Roley's Animal Rescue

Roley's Animal Rescue (re-titled Roley's Sleepy Friend for North American audiences) is the third episode of the fourth series.

Plot

Bob discovers a hedgehog asleep in Farmer Pickles' cottage and Scoop takes it back to the yard, while Roley looks after it. But when Farmer Pickles arrives to see Wendy, Scruffty jumps out of Travis' trailer and he and Pilchard chase each other which makes Roley worried that it might wake the hedgehog.

• Some TV guides incorrectly list this episode as airing in October 2000 for the UK.
• According to iTunes, this episode premiered on Nick Jr. in the UK and Ireland in February 2001 before airing on the BBC in October 2001. It was also released months early on VHS in late October 2000.
• This episode marks the first and only of a few things:
  • This is the only episode where Scruffty and Pilchard chase each other.
  • This is the first episode where Travis is seen without Spud.
  • This episode marks Scruffty's first appearance.

Goofs

• Wehn Bob asks Dizzy to do something inside, she starts turning, yet her happy mouth disappears and her eyes remain closed.
• Muck wants to take the Gate to the Cottage but was lean too close to the wall in close up.
• As soon as Wendy and Muck left to the hardware store, the paint can was left a bit in the center of the fence than being right side on the previous scene.
• When Pilchard touch the Quills the Newspaper slide over the right side.
• Lofty's eyes are wonky when Farmer Pickles thanks Bob and Wendy for fixing the garden gate.
• When Wendy realized Roley is fast asleep, her middle button disappeared for half a second.
