  • This season marks the first of several things:
    • First full season to feature the updated visuals.
    • First season to feature over 30 episodes.
    • First season to feature live actors other than Steve, not counting the kids in the letters.
      • This is also the only season to feature the most speaking live actors.
    • First season to feature Periwinkle.
    • First season to feature the 1999 Nick Jr Productions Logo from Dora the Explorer.
    • First season to feature a feature length DTV movie.
    • First season where Sidetable Drawer moves, is seen out of the living room and interacts with other characters aside from Steve.
    • First season to feature animations of Sidetable Drawer and Mailbox in the credits though Sidetable is only in the credits for Thankful (and some Season 6 episodes) and Mailbox isn't featured in the credits tell episodes from late 2000.
