G-Clef is a singing, dancing, saxophone playing, and a shy musical symbol used to indicate the pitch of written notes with a funky attitude. He is friends with the Notes and lives inside of a sheet music book owned by Steve. G-Clef knows how to create songs using tempo, notes, and rhythm. He is voiced by the late Ray Charles.
Description[]
G-Clef is a talking musical symbol who can always lend a hand when it comes to music. He wears a pair of red glasses with dark blue lenses. In "Blue's Big Musical," he helps Steve learn how to create songs. He lives inside of a book containing sheet music along with many blue notes voiced by the late musicians of the Persuasions.
Looks[]
G-Clef is a black G-clef (𝄞) note with a rounded tip on both ends. The loop on the top functions as his head and the swirl in the center can uncurl as his arm with the round tip actually being his hand with 4 fingers. The tip at the other end can sometimes act like a foot. He wears dark red sunglasses with dark blue lenses. He also has a pair of black eyebrows above his sunglasses, a goatee on his chin, and an iris mouth.
Appearances[]
G-Clef appears in four episodes of the original Blue's Clues series:
- "Blue's Big Musical"
- "Let's Boogie" (cameo; on a drawing on the fridge)
- "Blue's Big Band" (cameo; in the living room picture)
Trivia[]
