"Hurt Bike" is the 37th episode of Season 2 and the 95th episode overall of Big City Greens.
Synopsis[]
After almost getting in a dirt bike accident, Cricket decides to live his life in shelter.
Plot[]
Cricket and Tilly are bored out of their minds. However, Nancy arrives with a surprise: she has gotten the kids a dirt bike. Bill questions her on its safety and the potential safety risks, but Nancy shrugs it off. When Cricket has a go, he launches off a ramp and is about to collide into a building. Cricket is unable to control the bike, and it hits the building, destroying the bike. Cricket is safe, but scarred by the experience to the point he is scared of all danger. Cricket turns to Bill to teach him the ways of safety.
Bill educates Cricket on safety with his "Uh-oh" method; this works too well, as Cricket immediately falls into derangement as he imagines himself as an egg, with every little thing he runs into being a danger to his safety. Cricket tells Bill to go inside the house. Meanwhile, Nancy has fixed up the bike, which Tilly has named "Geraldine". Tilly then proceeds to "bond" with the bike, citing a need to "connect with each other" prior to riding. Tilly's bonding with the bike consists of her moving her tongue up and down repeatedly.
Nancy enters the house, which is revealed to be covered in bubblewrap; even Cricket himself is covered in bubblewrap. Nancy immediately points out Bill was the one who taught Cricket on safety using his "Uh-oh" method. Cricket even throws out all the farm tools. Bill and Nancy tells Cricket to go back to his usual, reckless self, but Cricket refuses to budge, even "turtling up" and going under the table. Nancy tries to get him out of his hiding spot with the fact she and Tilly are racing dirt bikes. Now worried for his sister, Cricket launches out of the house and into Tilly, who is pushed off the bike.
Cricket is now on the bike, unable to control it due to him being covered in bubble-wrapping. Nancy pushes for him to face his fear; determined, he bites off the wrapping and turns just in time as he reaches an unfinished bridge. Feeling brave again, he eventually is forced to jump a ramp, and nails the landing. Nancy congratulates Cricket for his work, but the bike is instantly destroyed. Nancy then decides Cricket shouldn't have a dirt bike after all, and he agrees. The episode ends as Cricket and Nancy ride back home as the sun sets, and Nancy pops a wheelie to Cricket's request.
