After Grandpa Max's super smart buddy Phil discovers that a second extraterrestrial item crashed alongside the Omnitrix, Team Tennyson sets off to find the second crash site before someone else does.
Plot[]
In the forests near Mt. Rushmore, Team Tennyson and Phil scrounge around for the source of a mysterious alien frequency. Phil speculates it is something that landed alongside the Omnitrix, but he can't be certain because the frequency is jammed. While Gwen carefully inspects the area, Ben carelessly pokes around. Gwen shows concern that Ben doesn't seem to care about the signal. He explains that every time they learn about the Omnitrix, something bad happens. Gwen cheers him up by guessing what the signal will lead to, when, suddenly, they hear a rumbling.
L.I.Z.A. transforms
Elsewhere in the forest, several animals begin to flee. Phil, Max and the cousins meet back up, and find the perpetrator, an excavator by the name of Breaker One-Nine in his bulldozer, L.I.Z.A. He accuses the heroes as trespassing, and shows off his permit, telling them that a corporation hired him to search for something in the forest. Gwen puts together that they are searching for the same thing, and the team splits up. While Max and Phil leave to get a permit of their own, Ben transforms into Rath, and he and Gwen follow Breaker One-Nine. They find him knocking down trees in his search and threatening the wildlife. Ben transforms into Humungousaur and confronts Breaker One-Nine, knocking over L.I.ZA. In response, Breaker One-Nine transforms L.I.Z.A. into a battle robot. Meanwhile, Max and Phil find themselves in a long line-up.
Humungousaur fights Breaker One-Nine
Humungousaur and Breaker One-Nine continue fighting, and Gwen notices the signal becoming stronger whenever Humungousaur uses his sonic tail attack. Back at the permit office, Max struggles through the required paperwork. In the forest, Gwen looks around, and finds the signal is coming from the crash site's trail. Humungousaur continues to wail on Breaker One-Nine, but he grabs Humungousaur's tail and flings him into a tree, where he then times out. Suddenly, Gwen shows up, having found a glowing key-like device. Breaker One-Nine reminds her she doesn't have the permit, when Max and Phil appear, proving him wrong.
Omni-Kix Four Arms defeats Breaker One-Nine
Angered, Breaker One-Nine rushes towards Gwen to steal the key, which she tosses to Ben. He inserts it into the Omnitrix, and transforms into an armored version of Four Arms. Breaker One-Nine tries to attack him with a giant drill, but Omni-Kix Four Arms' armor shatters it upon contact. He threatens to shoot Gwen, but Omni-Kix Four Arms fires his hand, redirecting the laser. He fires another two hands, pulling in L.I.Z.A., and delivers an uppercut to the device. Breaker One-Nine falls onto a shrub as the vehicle explodes. Some time after, he wakes up, swears his revenge, and disappears into the forest. Later, Ben celebrates his newfound powers, though Phil warns him that his transformations will time out faster, too. However, Ben doesn't care.
Breaker One-Nine: What I was tryin' to say is that this here is private property. You folks are trespassing. Gwen: Private property? Trespassing? Breaker One-Nine: Yup. Trespassin'. Private property.
”
“
Breaker One-Nine: So, you don't get what it means to be "trespassing", do ya? Humungousaur: Nope! I'm ten years old.
”
“
Max: I can't, Phil. I can't go on any longer. I think this is the end of the line. Phil: We mustn't give up, old friend. Ben and Gwen need our help. We have to get this permit. Max: You're right. Don't worry, kids, help is on the way! (signs paper) There! Helper: And don't forget the last 200 forms, filled out in triplicate. Max: Ugh... (falls down) I'm fine! Phil: He's going to need a minute. Max: Make it five!
Despite that being aired after I Don't Like You, this episode chronologically takes place after Roundabout: Part 2 and serves as the beginning for Season 4.
This episode also takes place before Gentle Ben and Funhouse despite being produced after both of them and airing after the former in U.S.
The Omnitrix pod and the landing debris are still present after it landed on Earth prior to the series, which Ben did not know about in Ben Again and Again.
Vilgax, the High Override, and Forever Knight are mentioned when Ben admits he is scared of what Omnitrix-related technology they could be looking for because the Omnitrix itself unknowingly leads into trouble whenever they try to learn something new about it.
Gwen's theory that the Omnitrix Key could be "new alien tech that unlocks new aliens" foreshadows the key's ability to unlock Celestialsapien DNA in the Antitrix.
Gwen speculating that it will "enhance [Ben's] aliens like before" alludes to the Omni-Enhanced Forms and foreshadows the Omni-Kix Armors.
Ben's theory that the Omnitrix Key could "shapeshift [him] into a rocket and launch [him] up into space" foreshadows the Omni-Naut Armors despite its absurdity.
Allusions[]
When Ben transforms into Omni-Kix Four Arms, Phil says the phrase "noice"; this line is possibly a reference to the meme in which Michael Rosen is eating something.
Errors[]
During Omni-Kix Four Arms' transformation, Four Arms' thumb briefly clips through his armor.
Trivia[]
Omni-Kix Four Arms' inclusion was confirmed through the CN Arcade App by playing through the footage of CN Asia's New in 2020.[CN 1]
Although he is unlocked for a majority of the episode, Stinkfly is not featured in the intro, foreshadowing his departure.
