Sea Gods (海神 (ワダツミ)  Wadatsumi) are high-level Demons that have been revered by humans and protect stretches of sea. They are also called Tritons (トリトン Toriton) and are associated with Egyn.^[1]

Overview[]

Sea Gods are massive demons that possess long-lived whales and sea turtles, with the one appearing in the series appearing similar to a sperm whale with two large tusks and four, fin-like limbs on which they can stand. They are primarily benign, aligning themselves with humans against more fiendish Demons.^[2]

When they pass away, Sea Gods bodies quickly disintegrate into nothingness.^[3][4]

Powers and Abilities[]

Worship Power: Sea Gods can gain strength through being paid reverence by humans. Offerings of food and prayer can restore their power, whilst being forgotten causes their strength to wane.^[5]

Human Speech: Older Sea Gods can communicate via human language.^[6]
