Golden Fields

The Golden Fields are a location that appears in the Angry Birds series. They are a sunny region on Piggy Island which is often used by the Piggy kingdom as a testing area for their vessels.

The Golden Fields are a sunny farmland on southern Piggy Island, at the south of the Beard Forest, the north of the Limestone Lagoon, the west of the Cobalt Plateaus and the east of the Great Cliffs.^[1] The region is covered by lime grass and mature wheat crops. It also has sunflowers of varying sizes and is decorated by some scarecrows. Perhaps most noticeably, the Golden Fields are used by the pigs as a testing site for their machines, which they launch from a slingshot; due to the poor quality of these vessels, they do not last long, and as a result the rural landscapes of the Golden Fields are filled with wreckages.^[2] Additionally, the Golden Fields house Professor Pig's lab,^[1] where he makes his own projects isolated from the rest of the Piggy kingdom; these inventions are often stolen by the Foreman Pig and repurposed as weapons and vehicles of war.^[3]

Angry Birds Seasons[]

Angry Birds Trilogy Summer Pignic — Summer Pignic, set in the Golden Fields, from *Angry Birds Trilogy*.

In Angry Birds Seasons, the Golden Fields serve as the site of the Summer Pignic chapter, released in June 2011. On one very sunny day, the Angry Birds took refuge in the region, but the pigs used a kite to distract the birds and steal the eggs.^[2] Fortunately, the flock managed to rescue the eggs from King Pig's minions once again.

Angry Birds Epic[]

In Angry Birds Epic, the Golden Fields appear as a region, being first visited not long after Matilda joins the player's flock. It contains four levels, and the first Friendship Gate in the game. The region features several new types of pigs:

Deals {{{2}}} damage to all enemies. They receive 25% more damage for 3 turns.

Incompetent Minions

Passive: Damage increases by 25% for each ally knocked out.

Has an identical boss variant called Submariner Boss, which appears in Northern Sea 4. “Air Strike” is renamed as “Typhoon” whereas “Weaken” is renamed as “Power Drain”.

The Golden Fields are also where Professor Pig's lab is found, where the player can exchange several in-game currencies with potions and other valuable items. This region is rich in wood, shiny sand and seeds.
