~ The Caretaker justifying her jealousy to Asa. |
The Caretaker or Asa Mitaka’s caretaker was a supporting character serving as a minor antagonist at the start of the Chainsaw Man manga series, Part 2.
She was a caretaker who took care of Asa along with other children at the orphanage. She was also the one who killed Asa Mitaka's cat Crambon, thus being responsible for how Asa became who she currently is.
Personality[]
She is a manipulative woman that developed jealousy of Asa Mitaka because of still having a family, her cat Crambon. This leads her to drown Crambon in the river by deceiving her that she would take care of the animal.
Her sociopathic act continues with believing another orphan feel secure, only to remove her last source of happiness. She hides her true nature with a caring heart from Asa and the other orphans. She was also great at reading others.
Biography[]
She makes her appearance at the orphanage, where she suggests that her friends take care of her pet, stating that one of the orphans is allergic and that it is "for her own good", to which Asa refuses.
The woman then sits down beside Asa and comforts her that all the other kids’ parents’ lives were also taken away, as well for her being killed by the Typhoon Devil. She then succeeded on convincing Asa to give Crambon to her.
At night, Asa is being told that a cat's corpse was found in the river that is seemingly to be Crambon before their caretaker entered, telling them to go to sleep.
Asa questions the woman about what happened to Crambon. The woman reveals her reason of taking the cat’s life by stating that it is unfair that she is the only one with a family left alongside her.
Asa then returns to the present and is seen upside down while grabbing an iron bar.
The Caretaker's current wherabouts are left unknown.
Trivia[]
- Her actions are the reason why Asa grew up to be the spiteful and introverted person that she is today.
