Tamika is a minor antagonist from Heroes of Might and Magic III. She was a vampire death knight, perhaps one of the most active leaders of the undead.

Biography[]

Little is known about Tamika's past, it is certain that she was a vampire who showed talent in combat and therefore quickly gained serious power in the military forces of Deyja. In addition to her command, she became the trainer of one of the most elite warriors of the undead, the black knights and the dread knights. She first appeared when she and another vampire, Aislinn, were attacked the northern part of the Contested Lands. The two vampires completely harvested a village, killing everyone without exception, then resurrecting the adults as skeletons and zombies. The children were not transformed into undead because their bodies were too weak. They then continued their advance and killed hundreds of peasants, some of whom were transformed in the same way. Eight days later, a vampire scout signaled to them that an enemy army was approaching, led by a famous sorceress named Gem, who was now a druid. Aislinn and Tamika attacked the enemy, but were defeated and retreated. She later reappeared when she and a skeleton lich, Nagash, teamed up to claim the throne of Deyja. Aislinn was her enemy this time, fighting on the side of another claimant to the throne, Duke Alarice, but in the end they were all defeated by two liches, Finneas Vilmar and Sandro. Vilmar became the king, Aislinn, Nagash, and Tamika accepted him and Sandro as the new leaders and became their minions. Tamika then only reappeared much later when the Unholy Alliance members Gelu, Gem, Yog, and Crag Hack launched an attack on Sandro's last line of defense to defeat the lich in his castle. She, Vilmar and Sandro's apprentice Vidomina fought to the end, but in the end Deyja suffered a final defeat and the necromancers had to give up world domination. However, Sandro tried again to conquer the world, but Finneas saw that it was time to get rid of him and therefore came up with a plan in which he was supported by Tamika and another death knight, Moander. The king lied to Sandro that the two death knights and a person named Lord Dufus were plotting against him and that they wanted to take his place. The lich defeated his opponents, but was then imprisoned by Vilmar for weakening Deyja, fomenting internal conflict, and killing an innocent lord. Tamika did not take part in ubsequent battles of Deyja after that, only appearing later in the swamps of Tatalia. He helped Lord Haart and his cult burn the swamps, destroy the population and resurrect them as undead. He and a lich, Nagash, were the most active, killing many and resurrecting victims. However, they were confronted by Adrienne, the fire witch of the swamp, who led the resistance. Although the undead were successful at first, as the force of surprise was long on their side, and they were greatly outnumbered, the warriors of Tatalia gradually grew stronger. Adrienne defeated Nagash and Tamika, but was unable to destroy them as they retreated deeper into the swamps to the east. Here they continued the destruction and massacre, and here other undead who had previously had high position in Deyja fought on their side, including Sandro. They tried to get deeper and deeper into the swamp, where the members of the cult were already wreaking havoc, but Adrienne and other heroes went after them and finally defeated the undead. She couldn't kill Tamika this time either, who ran away from the swamp. Tamika survived the Reckoning, but she didn't have a more serious role in Axeoth.

Personality[]

Tamika was perhaps one of the most bloodthirsty mass murderers of the undead, taking a large number of victims. Based on his actions, he was very cruel, destructive, ruthless and merciless. She killed thousands or tens of thousands of innocent people, some of whom she turned into the undead, and wherever she went, she destroyed everything she could. It didn't matter to her who she had to follow or serve, she was only interested in killing and destroying as much as possible. It is possible that he may have had a minor friendship with Nagash, as they were often allies of each other and wanted to take Deyja's throne together.
