Skylynx and Darksteel are the secondary antagonists of Transformers Prime Beast Hunters: Predacons Rising.
Skylynx was voiced by Nolan North, who also voiced Blutarch Mann, Redmond Mann, Merasmus, and Bombinomicon in Team Fortress 2. Darksteel was voiced by Steve Blum, who also voiced Starscream in the same series.
Biography[]
Soon after Starscream and Shockwave arrived back on Cybertron after Megatron's passing, Shockwave re-initiate Project: Predacon, bringing Skylynx and Darksteel back to life. Their first mission was to seek out remains of other Predacons. During their search, Ultra Magnus and Smokescreen encountered them. Skylynx instantly attacked Magnus, whereas Darksteel confronted Smokescreen. Skylynx's strength overwhelmed Magnus, inflicting serious injuries, but Smokescreen intervened before Skylynx could finish him, dragging him through a GroundBridge portal. After a while, they went back to Shockwave's lab, boasting about their win and the Autobots' weakness. Starscream then struck them with an electric rod, reprimanding them for being discovered by the Autobots. However, Skylynx responded that they hadn't been followed and had no reason to be afraid of the Autobots.
Skylynx and Darksteel discovered a massive burial ground containing the remains of thousands of Predacons. Shockwave and Starscream soon arrived and began excavating the bones. During the dig, a conflict arose between the two when Darksteel accidentally struck Skylynx with a bone. Before Unicron made his arrival, Skylynx and Darksteel, upon seeing him, immediately attacked, only to be easily defeated. Unicron then reanimated the undead Predacons as Terrorcons. Skylynx and Darksteel observed the Terrorcon army depart for the Well of the Allspark, trampling Shockwave in their wake. Shortly after, Predaking appeared on the scene.
The desecrated burial site horrified Predaking, who immediately suspected Unicron's involvement. Skylynx, however, urged Predaking to be grateful he wasn't the one possessed. Undeterred, Predaking resolved to restore the remains. When he asked Skylynx and Darksteel to join him, they initially attacked, gaining a brief advantage. Predaking quickly overpowered them, forcing their submission. Skylynx then declared, "All Hail Predaking." Shockwave, who miraculously survived, proposed they unite against the Terrorcons.
When the Nemesis arrived, Predaking, Skylynx and Darksteel clashed with the airborne Terrorcons. The Nemesis crashed during the fight, drawing the Autobots outside. Predaking, Skylynx and Darksteel landed near the Autobots, joining the battle against the advancing Terrorcons. Initially, the Predacons held their own, but the sheer number of Terrorcons pushed them back to Cybertron's core. Unicron's defeat by Optimus Prime then caused the Terrorcons to crumble into dust. When Starscream attempted to seize Darkmount, Predaking, Skylynx and Darksteel sought to settle scores with him.
